The Right to Information (RTI) data at IIM Indore was developed as per RTI Act 2005 with the aim of bringing transparency, accountability and good governance. The RTI mechanism of the institute ensures students, faculty members, staff and the general public have timely and systematic access to critical information on how it operates. IIM Indore has appointed a Central Public Information Officer, an Assistant Public Information Officer and a First Appellate Authority to deal with enquiries and appeals appropriately. The institute also has the services of a transparency officer to monitor compliance and improve standards of disclosure.

IIM Indore's policy on RTI (Right to Information) reflects the institute's openness by providing extensive information regarding its admissions process and candidate data for the flagship PGP and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). Following RTI norms, IIM Indore publishes category-wise data regarding the number of candidates, shortlisted candidates for interview, composite score cut-offs, CAT percentile criteria, final offers of admission and waitlist movement in each cycle of admission.

The information provided under RTI facilitates candidates as well as the general public to comprehend trends in admission, patterns in selection and the institute's assessment criteria in categories like General, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS and PWD. Through disclosure of the same, IIM Indore ensures that the process of admissions is transparent, accountable and equitable to all those who apply.

The RTI alert also makes note of IIM Indore’s commitment towards fair admissions which consider merit, as also mentioned in addition to diversity and inclusion.
