CUET UG

The Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG) is an entrance test conducted at the national level by the National Testing Agency. It gives admission to undergraduate courses in more than 250 colleges of India, i.e., national, state, private and deemed universities. CUET UG aims to give a single platform and equal opportunities to all students, especially those from rural regions.

The test is conducted annually and is taken online. The paper is divided into three main sections: a language test, a subject-specific test to the domain and general test. Students select their studies according to the requirements of the university and course to which they are joining. Each section consists of fifty multiple choice questions (MCQs). No optional questions are there for the test takers, all questions are compulsory. The marking scheme includes a +5 for all questions answered correctly and -1 for choosing the wrong answer.

CUET UG will be offered in 13 languages; Hindi, English and many regional languages. So that students from all language backgrounds can apply. CUET UG exam makes the admission process simple through the various entrance exams into one standard test. Students should know the required eligibility and subject requirements of their desired preferred universities. The CUET UG exam promotes fairness and transparency in university admissions. This exam also plays a significant role in shaping the academic future of thousands of students every year.

Eligibility of CUET UG Exam

For the CUET UG exam, the candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Age Limit: There is no age limit required to appear in the CET UG exam 2025. However, candidates have to fulfil the age requirement (if any) of the university/institution/organisation, to which they apply.

Educational Qualification:  The candidates must have passed class 12 or an equivalent examination from the recognised board and university, and candidates who appeared in the class 12, 2025, examination can also appear in the CUET UG exam.

Registration process for CUET UG Examination

Candidates who want to appear in the CUET exam should register online by visiting the official CUET UG website. Each CUET UG exam subject has a separate fee. The registration process for the CUET UG exam is given below:

  • The candidates can log in using login credentials, the system-generated application number and password, including personal details, university/programme selection, educational qualification, test paper details, selecting the examination cities, and uploading images and documents (if any). 

  • The applicant should give a recent photo in JPG or JPEG format, either in colour or black and white. The photo should have visible ears, at least 80% of the face visible on a white background (without a mask).

  • The candidate is asked to provide a scanned copy of his/her signature. The signature should be readable.

Highlights of CUET UG Syllabus 2025

The CUET UG 2025 is an entrance test that evaluates the competencies of aspiring students in 13 Indian languages + 23 domain-specific subjects + 01 General Aptitude Test. There are 50 questions for each test paper. All questions will be compulsory. Candidates may choose up to a maximum of five (05) subjects, including languages and the General Aptitude Test irrespective of the subjects opted for in class XII.

Steps to Download CUET UG Admit Card

To appear for the exam, candidates need to have a CUET UG admit card. It contains all the information related to the candidate and the exam, including name, photo, application number, date of exam, time, and examination centre. It also contains important instructions for the exam day, including reporting time and guidelines on what items are allowed and not allowed at the exam centre. To download the CUET UG exam, kindly follow the steps below:

  • Now enter the login credentials that you have created during registration.

  • Login details consist of the registration number and password.

  • Candidates should get a chance to download their admission card.

  • Then ensure that all of the details on the admit card are accurate.

  • Download and print the admit card.

CUET UG BBA Exam Day Instructions

There are certain instructions that candidates should keep in mind and follow ardently. Some of these instructions are provided below:

  • Candidates should reach the CUET UG BBA test centre at least 90 minutes before the examination starts.

  • Candidates are advised to bring at least two printouts of their admit card to the test centre.

  • Bring a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.

  • Before the examination day, candidates are advised to check their admit card details. In case of any discrepancy, test takers should immediately contact the exam authorities.

  • Mobile phones, cameras, smart watches etc are all prohibited inside the examination hall.
