Integrated MBA is an all-in-one undergraduate course offering master level learning in business administration. Instead of opting for a traditional approach where one secures the BBA, B.Com or B Tech degree before enrolling for an MBA, one could do an Integrated MBA following the 12th standard. This course is designed for those students who are certain that they want to work in business, management or a leadership related role from an early age.

Two principal types of Integrated MBA courses exist in India and overseas. The first is the BBA+MBA course which integrates a Bachelor of Business Administration with an MBA and emphasises more on developing a strong foundation in business basics followed by higher-order management skills. The second type is the BTech+MBA course that integrates engineering with management education. This is best suited for students who are keenly interested in technology and also wish to develop a career in tech-based management positions, product management, consulting or entrepreneurship.

Integrated MBA programs are very different from the conventional MBA path. A conventional MBA typically expects students to pursue an undergraduate degree in any subject and in most cases, some work experience is needed before joining. An Integrated MBA however, provides a hassle-free and time-saving path to management studies by eliminating the necessity of having to undergo individual admission procedures for UG and PG programs. The duration of the program is five years and provides a more formalised curriculum that gradually moves from fundamental subjects in the early years to advanced management subjects in the latter years.

The key target of the Integrated MBA courses is the students who have just got over their 12th class and are willing to go in the profession of management. They help such students with an early understanding of management concepts, leadership development and communication skills and enable them to apply the management principles in real life. They graduate not only knowing things but with real-world skills and industry knowledge, well-suited for leading positions in any industry.
