What is MAT Exam?
The All India Management Association holds the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) throughout India to select and provide admission to students in various management programs offered by MBA colleges in India. Over 140 colleges accept MAT scores. The registration for the 2025 MAT December session in PBT format will end on 7 December and on 15 December for CBT on the official AIMA MAT website.
Important Features of MAT 2025
There is provision for multiple attempts and only the recent score is taken into account for admission.
The test is less difficult than CAT, XAT, CMAT and NMAT.
For admission to prestigious MAT colleges a score in the 90+ percentile is adequate.

Flexibility - Candidates can choose exam phase, date and mode as per convenience and may attempt MAT multiple times in the same academic year to improve scores.
Selection of Colleges - Up to 5 colleges can be selected in the MAT application form. AIMA sends scores directly to these institutes. For more than 5 colleges students must apply separately.

MAT Eligibility Criteria 2025
Education - Postgraduate in any area from a university that is approved by UGC.
Final Year Students - Can apply but they need to give their graduation degree later.
Minimum Marks - No minimum marks are stated but most of the colleges require 50% and 45% from the reserved categories.
No age restriction.
Individuals with ICWA, CS or CA degrees are also eligible based on the MAT exam eligibility.

Go to the official mat.aima.in website.
To create an account students must click Register.
Fill in personal details in MAT exam application such as DOB, name, email ID, cell number, state, city, test mode etc.
Choose your 5 desired colleges along with the exam mode like PBT or CBT.
Pay MAT fees online ₹2200.
Enter academic details and upload passport photo & signature.
Save the confirmation after submitting the form.
Note - Test city choice cannot be changed after form submission.
Pattern of the MAT Exam
Exam Modes - CBT full form is Computer-based test and the PBT exam full form is Paper-based exam.

Sections - Total 5 which are Language Comprehension, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Economic & Business Environment

Marking Scheme - Plus 1 for every correct response, Minus 0.25 for every incorrect response and 0 for not attempted ones

MAT 2025 Admit Card
Your 2025 MAT hall ticket will be available on the AIMA MAT website and it can be downloaded from there. Make sure to carry the MAT exam admit card for the correct session on your exam day.
Move to the official 2025 MAT website.
Select the 'Download and View' option given in menu item.
Then choose the option of 'MAT Admit Card' given.
Enter your DOB, email ID and password.
Download your hall ticket and save it for reference.

Results are declared 15 - 20 days after the exam on the official website.
Candidates can download the MAT scorecard by logging in with their Roll number & MAT exam registration form No.
If a candidate appears multiple times the best score can be used for admission.
For the September CBT mode the AIMA MAT result will be announced the second week of October tentatively.
