Common Errors to Avoid While Filling Out the MAT 2026 Application Form
Candidates must note that once an application form for the MAT exam is submitted, it cannot be modified further. Common mistakes which should be avoided include -
Ensure that your name is exactly the same as mentioned in your DoB Certificate/Class 10 Certificate.
Choose your test centre wisely in case of PBT/CBT as once chosen it cannot be modified further.
Check the fee payment status after making the payment to ensure the registration is complete. The form will not be submitted until the fee is paid.
Provide a valid email ID and phone as all communication by AIMA will be done through these.
Include a scanned copy of your photograph and signature as per the dimensions provided.
MAT Registration 2026
Candidates who wish to give the MAT exam can go ahead and register themselves by following the online registration procedure given below -
Step 1 - Visit the Official Website
Go to the official website of MAT 2026 which is mat.aima.in.
Then click on the ‘Register’ tab.
Step 2 - Create a New Account
Provide necessary details like Name, Email ID, Cell number, State, City & Password.
Then click on Register and you will receive an OTP on your mobile number.
Step 3 - Complete the MAT Application Form
Open the system through the “Existing User” option by clicking the link
Complete all the personal information including name, gender, category and nationality
Add all the academic information including marks obtained in high school, intermediate and graduation
Select the preferred mode for taking the MAT test whether it is PBT or CBT
Select up to five preferred management colleges to get your MAT results free of charge
Step 4 - Upload Documents
Upload your recent passport-size photo in PNG/JPEG format by adhering to the required size
Upload your digital signature in PNG/JPEG format
Step 5 - MAT Application Fee Payment
Choose your preferred examination mode
Make your fee payment through net banking, Debit/Credit card or UPI

Step 6 - Review and Submit the Application
Check thoroughly the information filled in the exam form.
Ensure that there are no mistakes in personal information, mode of exam or document uploads.
Once checked click the “Final Submit” option to generate a confirmation page.
Step 7 - Download the Confirmation Page and Print It
To verify that your registration was successful, download the confirmation page.
Print multiple copies and save them safely for future use.
