MAT Result 2026 - Download MAT Exam Scorecard

The MAT 2026 results for the May session will be made available for download through the candidate login dashboard approximately 2 weeks after the exam. AIMA does not announce any specific date for declaring the scorecard; therefore candidates must regularly log in to their student dashboard to check the availability of their scores.

The CBT examination for the MAT 2026 May session is set for 14 June 2026 while the PBT exam is set for May 31. Accordingly, candidates may expect the MAT 2026 May result to be declared in the third week of June 2026.

More than 800 MBA colleges in India accept the results of the MAT exam for admission to MBA or PGDM programs. It is considered one of the most popular MBA entrance tests in India. Those candidates who want to increase their score in the MAT exam can re-register and appear for the exam again in the MAT September 2026 session.

What is the Process of Calculating the AIMA MAT Score and Cutoff Percentile?

The scores earned in the four areas of the MAT exam which are data analysis and sufficiency, language comprehension, intelligence and critical reasoning and mathematical skills are used to determine the MAT exam results for 2026. During the percentile calculation of the MAT exam 2026 the Economic and Business Environment section marks are not taken into consideration.

MAT Marking Scheme

 The marking scheme followed in the MAT exam is given below - 

  • Every accurate response will give you one mark.

  • For every incorrect response you will lose 0.25 points.

  • Questions that are not attempted do not result in a deduction of points.

  •  A scale from zero to one hundred is used to report sectional scores.

  • The overall MAT score as noted is from 199 to 801.

How to Download MAT Exam Result 2026?

After the MAT exam the 2026 result and its scorecard will be made public on the official AIMA MAT website for the test takers. To download the MAT exam score card cum results take the following actions - 

  1. Move to the AIMA MAT official website - https://mat.aima.in/

  2. Enter your email address and number of registration to log in. 

  3. Log in using your number of registration and email ID.

  4. Choose between December, February, September and May as the exam months in which you would like to sit for the exam.

  5. Select "Scorecard" from the menu.

  6. The screen will display your MAT 2026 scorecard download.

  7. Save your results of the MAT exam for future use and download them.

MAT 2026 Exam MBA Admission Process for Top MBA Colleges

Once the MAT result 2026 for the May session is declared AIMA sends the scores to the five colleges selected by the candidate while filling the application form. If a candidate’s score meets the cutoff set by those institutes they will be invited for the next rounds which will be of Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. If a student wants to apply to more colleges they must fill out the admission forms of those institutions separately.

The first step in the admission process is clearing the MAT cutoffs which vary across institutes. Candidates should start preparing for GD-WAT-PI as these rounds are important for final selection. Many students also take soft skills or personality development training to perform better.

Applicants dissatisfied with their MAT scores can reappear for the next session with the hope of performing better. However, the candidates will be required to pay the fees again in case they opt for the retest. For admission to MBA and PGDM programs in India, the MAT result is valid for a year.

The MAT 2026 May result will be declared about 2 weeks after the test. PBT and CBT tests are scheduled for 31 May and 14 June respectively in 2026. So, students who have taken this test can check their score card by the end of June 2026.
