IIM Indore organised the IPMAT entrance exam for admission to its five year integrated program in management. This program combines a three-year undergraduate BBA degree with an MBA over two years. The exam is offered to all students who have completed their Class 12 with a percentage of at least 60% (55% for reserved categories).

The test is conducted in three sections: Quantitative Ability (MCQs), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Questions) and Verbal Ability (MCQs). It is online and lasts for two hours. Correct answers in MCQs are rewarded with +4, while there is a negative marking of -1 for incorrect answers. Negative marking is not applied for the short answers. The arithmetic, grammar, reading comprehension and vocabulary syllabus are till the Class 10 level. The candidates who clear the test are shortlisted for a personal interview (PI) and the final selection is done by taking into account the scores obtained in the test and interview. IPMAT provides students with an excellent opportunity to get into one of the prestigious IIMs while laying down the foundation for a strong management education.

The IPMAT 2026 is an entrance test provided by IIM Indore for admission to their 5-year Integrated Programme in Management IPM. The test type is a computer-based test, CBT. It is a two hours exam and the medium is English. A total of 60 questions are asked on Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability. Eligibility of  2026 IPMAT Indore Exam

For the IPMAT Indore exam, the candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed class 12 or an equivalent. The percentage of marks for the candidates is:

  • General category- 60% marks 

  • SC, ST Category-55% marks 

  • Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be

  • General category: Candidates must be born on or after August 1, 2005.

  • SC, ST and PwD categories: Five years of relaxation should be given to the candidates, that is, the candidates should be born on or after August 1, 2000.

  • Academic Background: The test is conducted for students who have completed their Class 12 examinations in any subject (science, commerce or arts).

  • Applicants appearing:  Candidates should have passed Standard XII/HSC or an equivalent examination in 2023 and 2024 or be appearing in 2026.

  • Policy for Reservation

    The table shows the percentage of reservations for different groups in India. It includes categories like NC OBC, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).     Registration process for 2026 IPMAT Indore

    Candidates who want to take the IPMAT exam should register online by visiting the official IPMAT website. Candidates must also choose the number of attempts they want to take in their application form. Each IPMAT exam session has a separate fee. The registration process for the IPMAT exam is given below:

    • Select the IPMAT application form to study integrated MBA from IIM Indore. 

    • Candidates should find the option to register themselves.

    • Now, enter the academic and personal information and select the city and date of the 2025 IPMAT exam. 

    • Upload a recent passport-sized photo.

    • Candidates can pay their IPMAT application fee through net banking or a credit/debit card.

    • Candidates have to enter their personal information, work experience, and academic information.

    Highlights of IPMAT Indore Syllabus 2026

    The IPMAT 2026 or the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test, is an entrance test that evaluates the competencies of aspiring students in three areas: quantitative ability (MCQs), quantitative ability (short answer) and verbal ability.     IIM Indore offers the IPMAT Indore examination to admit students into the five- year Integrated Program in Management (IPM). Under this program, undergraduate and postgraduate management studies are combined to develop leadership and management skills in students.     The difficulty level of IPMAT is moderate. The IPMAT exam is conducted for undergraduate-level candidates who don't have any experience with the competitive exam. The examination is conducted to check the basic knowledge of the candidates in quantitative ability and verbal ability.
