With 100% placements for its largest-ever batch of 594 students seeking admission to IIM Indore's five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) and Postgraduate Programme (PGP) , the 2024 placement season ended on a positive note. The institution consistently demonstrated faith in its talent pool by drawing in over 150 recruiters despite unfavourable market conditions. Salary figures declined modestly relative to the previous year. The highest domestic package available was ₹1 crore annually down from ₹1.14 crore in 2023. The mean salary was ₹25.68 LPA, whereas the median was ₹24.50 LPA, with a strong wage trend evident in spite of a slowdown in the job market.  

Hiring was spread across numerous sectors, with consulting proving to be the most dominant domain, with approximately 25% of offers. Management, operations and human resources professionals also filled another 25% of positions, with Salesforce, L&T and Reliance Industries being some of the participating ones. Sales and marketing recruited about 19% of candidates with brands like Procter & Gamble, Asian Paints, Tata Consumer Products and Mondelez offering. Finance, IT, analytics and other industries like healthcare and BFSI were all well-represented ensuring a balanced placement result for the graduating batch.

Even though there was a decline in average and median packages IIM Indore's placement exercise stood out for its transparency and integrity, particularly in a year when many B-schools decided to withhold compensation numbers. This commitment to ethical reporting, added to a robust and diversified placement performance, solidifies IIM Indore's reputation as a premier management school that continues to deliver value to students and recruiters alike particularly in a time of economic uncertainty.

IIM Indore has been able to successfully conduct its summer placement process for the 2024-26 batch with all the students who took part in the process getting internships. As many as 215 recruiters took part in the process and offered opportunities in different areas.  In spite of recession, recruiters still offered a substantial stipend of ₹5 lakh and an average of ₹2.53 lakh for the two-month duration of the internship. Consulting became the most prominent hiring category with 29.07% of offers, followed by sales and marketing at 26.54%. Finance positions contributed 17.39%, while general management, operations, and human resources brought 14.19%. The IT and analytics category contributed the remaining 12.81%, which reflects the institute's diversified industry involvement. The graduation ceremony showcases IIM Indore's long-standing reputation for grooming industry-ready human resources and its success in bringing on board top recruiters from diverse business fields.

IIM Indore Summer Placement Report 2023-25

IIM Indore finished its summer placement for the 2023-25 batch with good numbers on key parameters and industries. The maximum stipend offered was ₹6.6 lakh with an average of ₹2.25 lakh for a two month internship opportunity. The top 100 students received an average stipend of ₹3.97 lakh while the top 200 secured an average of ₹3.49 lakh which indicates the quality of talent at the institute. Secto wise allocation was well distributed with sales & marketing leading the chart at 24%, followed by consultancy and general management/operations & HR at 23% each. Finance accounted for 20% of the opportunities while IT and analytics accounted for the remaining 10%, reflecting IIM Indore's strong industry connections and ability to place diverse opportunities. The findings indicate the increasing prestige of the institute and sustained success in equipping students for challenging business situations.

IIM Indore's last placement report for the batch of 2023-25 reflects yet another year of impressive performance and high industry engagement. The exercise engaged more than 225 recruiters who presented a range of opportunities in different business categories. IIM Indore alumni are most sought after with the highest annual package offered at ₹70 lakh the mean at ₹29.57 lakh, and the median at ₹27 lakh. By way of sectoral split, consultancy represented 29.07% of the total postings, followed by sales and marketing (26.54%).  Finance positions represented 17.39% of postings, followed by general management, operations and human resources 14.19%. The rest of the 12.81% of the positions originated from the IT and analytics industries. These outcomes prove the institute's superior placement record and its image of developing industry capable leaders across a wide array of industries.

In spite of the negative economic climate IIM Indore's final placement report for the 2022-24 batch reflects good performance and industry participation across the board. The highest annual package was ₹1 crore with an average of ₹25.68 lakh. The top 100 students averaged ₹37.33 lakh and top 200 averaged ₹32.91 lakh reflecting the institute's superior talent. The placement drive saw a reasonable sectoral split, with consultancy, general management/operations, and human resources leading at 25% each. Sales, marketing and finance positions constituted 19% each with IT and analytics covering the balance of 12%. These findings reflect IIM Indore's good industry connections, academic acumen and ability to prepare students for leadership roles across diverse sectors.

IIM Indore Summer placement report PGP-HRM for 2024-26

The summer placement for the 2024-26 batch of IIM Indore's PGP-HRM program was a successful one. There were high corporate interests and very competitive stipend offers. The highest stipend offered was ₹4.00 lakh, with the average stipend being at ₹2.44 lakh. The two-month internship period stipend that came out with a median was at ₹2.40 lakh. The increasing reputation of the program and industry significance are reflected in the median salary of ₹4.00 lakh for the top 10%, ₹3.4 lakh for the top 25% and ₹2.9 lakh for the top 50% of the class. Sector-wise distribution: human resource functions captured 62% of the offers, followed by strategy and consulting at 12% each. General management positions formed 9% while the rest formed 5% in terms of sales.

IIM Indore Final placement report PGP-HRM for 2023-25

The Postgraduate Program in Human Resource Management had a good final placement season. The sixth has been especially lucrative in the final placement season. The batch size of the program is 32 students. More than 30 recruiters from the season participated, providing roles in human resources in sectors such as consulting, manufacturing, BFSI, Oil & gas, logistics and IT/ITES. Accenture Strategy, Capgemini and Pattern are among the key consulting recruiters. ICICI Bank and Aditya Birla Capital are leading recruiters in the BFSI space. The maximum CTC provided was ₹40 LPA, while the average was ₹25 LPA. The top 10% of the batch got an average salary of ₹38.30 LPA and the top 25% got ₹30 LPA as an average salary. The top 50% of the batch got ₹29.3 LPA. This year, IIM Indore had some new recruiters come to our campus, increasing industry contacts and student opportunities.  They had a number of organisations, including PhonePe, Accenture Strategy, Banas Dairy, Ola, Dr Lal PathLabs, Pattern, Jakson and Solar Square, join our recruiting drive and provide varied roles in various disciplines.

IIM Indore EPGP Final Placement Report 2023-2024

IIM Indore Executive Postgraduate Programme ended its 2023-24 placement season with impressive outcomes in line with the strong industry link of the programme. Over 55 organisations visited the placement drive and made 75+ offers that covered diverse opportunities across functions. The average CTC per annum was ₹27.5 lakh with the maximum package being ₹47 LPA. High performers performed exceedingly well, with an average of ₹38.3 LPA in the top 25% and ₹32.8 LPA in the top 50%. Consultant jobs topped the industry division with 50% of placements being via recruiters such as Accenture, Infosys, Capgemini and Cognisant. Finance and product management positions were highly sought after with CAMS, Axis Bank, Microsoft and Persistent Systems being the top recruiters. Overall, EPGP 2023-24 placement statistics represent a strong market response to competitive remuneration and a wide range of high value opportunities focused on experienced specialists.

IIM Indore's EPGP final placement report for the 2023-24 batch indicates satisfactory placement figures and consistent interest in veteran professionals from industries. The average CTC per annum stood at ₹27.8 lakh with the top figure of ₹43.9 lakh. Median salary stood at ₹30 lakh indicating a strong compensation trend. The highest performing students got much larger packages, with the top 25% having an average of ₹34.8 lakh and the top 50% having an average of ₹32.8 lakh a year. The average CTC of female candidates was ₹28.9 lakh reflecting strong gender diversity results. The sector-wise distribution saw IT, operations, and supply chain management as the most prominent domain, placing 35% of overall placements. Product management and consulting jobs came next at 19% each, with finance at 17%. Sales & marketing and general management contributed 8% and 2%, respectively. These figures reflect IIM Indore's ability to offer high-value placements in a large variety of functions and industries particularly for mid- to senior-level managers.
