Indian Institute of Management Indore is famous for its scholarship, decent facilities and campus life. Its sprawling 193 acre campus on a hilltop provides the ideal mix of urban amenities and nature to develop an ambience conducive to learning and all around growth.

IIM Indore's hostels are designed to provide students with a cozy and enriching living experience. There are separate blocks for male and female students each with well appointed rooms, high speed internet access and 24 hour security. Students can select between single and double occupancy rooms based on their curriculum and availability.  To stimulate peer contact and collaboration the hostels have common lounges, study rooms and indoor recreational facilities.

Dining halls are comprehensive with various messes and food courts providing healthy and varied meals to cater to all kinds of tastes. Quality and cleanliness are given top importance with students being able to enjoy wholesome food at all times.

The overall campus infrastructure is also very good with best lecture theatres, a well equipped digital library, computer labs and a complete sports complex. Facilities like a gymnasium, swimming pool, basketball, tennis and badminton courts and football and cricket grounds are provided. These facilities promote physical health and academic development.

Additionally the campus is Wi-Fi enabled and eco friendly featuring sustainable options like solar power utilisation and rainwater harvesting.

IIM Indore Academic Infrastructure

Students at IIM Indore are taught and trained by the best faculty members, comprising permanent and visiting scholars. Administrative work at the Institute is taken care of by its efficient staff members.

Classrooms at IIM Indore provide a learning-friendly environment conducive to a lifelong quest for knowledge for students. Though the classrooms for MDP are more flexible with round tables that can be positioned ad hoc to facilitate greater interaction amongst participants, the lecture theatres and classrooms provide a linear seating arrangement. All classrooms are air conditioned and equipped with the latest teaching aids.

In addition, the Institute consists of two auditoriums with amphitheatres in each. Auditorium 2 is the new auditorium at the sports complex has 800 seats, while Auditorium 1 is the old auditorium has 300 seats.

Sports/Recreation facilities of IIM Indore 

The Institute has been employing the services of qualified certified fitness trainers who bring a varied range of expertise to the Fitness Centre. Fitness instructors offer cardiovascular, strength and flexibility exercises. They also offer a customised training program depending on a person's objectives and requirements.  Swimming programs are designed and created by experienced and qualified instructors to ensure that the IIM Indore community reaps the maximum benefits. The pool maintenance team employs a mix of filtration and chemical treatment to purify a vast amount of water on a recurring basis. IIM Indore Residential Infrastructure

Single-seated/twin sharing accommodations are offered for all students on campus with separate blocks/floors for men and women. The hostel blocks are well designed and spread out around the canteen on the sides of the hillside. The hostels are interconnected with the majority of them arranged in blocks of three. The residential facilities include hostels for all the students and quarters for staff and faculty. These include:

IIM Indore Hostel Block

All blocks have a square in the middle with basketball/badminton courts made of artificial turf and lawns in some blocks. Every hostel block has a common room with facilities such as wall-mounted television sets with DTH connection, table tennis, darts, carrom and chess.  The common room is the centre point where social interaction, celebrations and casual conversations take place. Each block is also equipped with water coolers and filters.

The individual rooms are equipped with teak cots and mattresses, a computer table, chairs, closets and shelves. A full time internet connection is available in all the rooms along with a direct connection to the main LAN.

IIM Indore Mess

Students are provided with special mess facilities as well as 24 hour canteens offering vegetarian and non vegetarian food. A variety of snacks, crackers, chocolates, ice cream and soft beverages are also available at the mess. Students can buy anything from noodles to parathas at the night canteen, which is open from 11 pm to 5 am, in addition to the usual mess. In addition there is JAM a student-run project that offers fresh juices and fruits on the campus of the hostel.

The students also have a self financed goods shop by the name of PI Shop, selling anything from stationery and snacks to personal care products and daily needs.

IIM Indore IT Infrastructure

IIM Indore provides a state-of-the-art, campus-wide information technology infrastructure designed to meet the Institute's computing and communication requirements.  IIM Indore has a high-speed, stable and long-lasting computer network with approximately 5500 nodes.  The network contains a 10G fibre backbone that interconnects all of the blocks and departments. The duplicate gigabit fibre backbone runs between all of the dormitories, faculty blocks, admin blocks, classrooms, executive residence block, library, seminar hall, sports complex and so forth. To facilitate connectivity to the user, all of the blocks are interconnected through layer 2 and 3 switches. For round the clock internet access, every dormitory room has its own LAN connection to the institute network.  Additionally the Faculty Block, Library, Executive Residence, Class Rooms, Hostel Blocks, Auditoriums and Sports Complex have wireless internet access.  The institute has an IT FMS facility open around the clock.

The Institute possesses one GBPS internet connection from NIC under the National Knowledge Network project and one GBPS backup leased line connection from Ishan Netsol Pvt. Ltd.

IIM Indore Learning Centre

The IIM Indore Learning Centre (LC) with its rich repository of knowledge resources and dynamic information services is a valuable resource for students, faculty and community in the vicinity in their scholarly pursuits. It is a hybrid library using advanced technology applications that is mainly devoted to knowledge resources on management and allied topics. IIMI Library is a participating member in the IIM and INDEST consortiums.
