IPU CET BBA is an entrance test conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), more popularly known as IP University, for BBA course admissions. A computer-based test is used to administer the IPU CET exam. The exam takes place in May or June every year. There are 100 multiple-choice questions in the test in each section, which lasts for 2.5 hours (150 minutes). Each right response earns four points, whereas each incorrect response results in a deduction of one point. There are 400 possible points for the exam.

The question sheet consists of four parts: English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Logic and Analytical Ability and Management Aptitude and Communication Skills. These parts are designed to evaluate the student's basic English skills, general information, ability to reason and understanding of business concepts.

The candidates should have passed Class 12 or the equivalent from a recognised board with a minimum of 50%. English should be a subject of study in the twelth grade. Students appearing for 12th-grade examinations are also eligible, but they should present their results at the time of admission.

The application process is conducted online through IP University's official site. Students have to fill out the form, upload documents and deposit the required cost. After the exam, a merit list is prepared based on the marks and students are called for online counselling. At counselling, they may choose their desired colleges and courses based on ranking and seat occupancy.

Eligibility Criteria for the IPU CET Exam 2026

  • Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board.

  • English is compulsory as a core, optional or functional subject.

  • The upper age limit for UG courses such as BBA is 21 years as of 1st August 2025. University conventions can permit the relaxation of age in certain exceptional cases.

  • Indian and foreign students can apply for the IPU CET exam.

  • Applicants are required to have a minimum aggregate of 50% as per university regulations. 

  • Students appearing for Class 12 board examinations this year are also eligible to apply, subject to fulfilling the requirements by the time of joining.

Methods to Register for the IPU CET Exam 2026

  • Applicants should have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) with at least a 50% aggregate by August 1, 2025 and be under 21 years of age.

  • Go to IPU's official admission portal at ipu.ac.in or ipu.admissions.nic.in. Choose the "IPU CET 2026 Application Form" or "IPU CET 2026 Registration" option. 

  • On the Candidate Activity Board, select New Candidate Registration.

  • Enter personal information such as your name, DoB, email address and cell phone number.

  • Create a user ID and password and get your email/mobile verified to receive login credentials. 

  • Log in using your credentials. Enter personal, contact and academic details (10th, 12th grades etc.). Choose BBA as your course and your preferred testing location.

  • Scan and upload a Passport-sized photograph (JPG/JPEG, 4.5x3.5 cm, 10 KB-100 KB) and a Signature black/blue pen (JPG/JPEG, 10-100 KB). If required, upload a thumb impression or category certificate.

  • All filled-in information must be reviewed very carefully. Accept the declaration and then enter the security captcha. Click on Submit to continue.

  • Pay via debit/credit card or net banking. The application fee is ₹2,500 + taxes/service charges as applicable (across all categories). Check that the payment has succeeded before you continue.

  • Download and Print Confirmation. Submit the form once you have paid. Download and print the confirmation slip or the submitted application form for reference.
