The test is conducted in three sections: Quantitative Ability (MCQs), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Questions) and Verbal Ability (MCQs). It is online and lasts for two hours. Correct answers in MCQs are rewarded with +4, while there is a negative marking of -1 for incorrect answers. Negative marking is not applied for the short answers. The arithmetic, grammar, reading comprehension and vocabulary syllabus are till the Class 10 level. The candidates who clear the test are shortlisted for a personal interview (PI) and the final selection is done by taking into account the scores obtained in the test and interview. Eligibility of IPMAT (Indore) Exam
For the IPMAT Indore exam, the candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
1. Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed class 12 or an equivalent. The percentage of marks for the candidates is:
General category- 60% marks
SC, ST Category-55% marks
2. Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be
General category: Candidates must be born on or after August 1, 2004.
SC, ST and PwD categories: Five years of relaxation should be given to the candidates, that is, the candidates should be born on or after August 1, 1999.
3. Academic Background: The test is conducted for students who have completed their Class 12 examinations in any subject (science, commerce or arts).
4. Applicants appearing: Candidates should have passed Standard XII/HSC or an equivalent examination in 2023 and 2024 or be appearing in 2025.Policy for Reservation
