IPMAT Indore Exam Admission Process

The IPMAT exam is conducted by IIM Indore for the integrated management course. The IPMAT admission process begins with the submission of the application form by candidates. The IPMAT Indore exam is a national-level entrance test organised by IIM Indore for its five-year integrated management program. The eligibility for this exam is that the candidate should have passed class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum percentage. Admission Process

The admission process at IIM Indore for IPMAT has been structured to provide a multi-level evaluation of the students. The first requirement is to fulfil the eligibility criteria, followed by the application process and aptitude test, which is a computer-based aptitude test that assesses both quantitative and verbal abilities.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification: Class 12 or an equivalent exam cleared from a recognised board’s candidates are eligible. General and NC OBC categories need 60% in Class 12 (or equivalent). The  SC/ST/PwD candidates are provided a relaxation of 5% hence the required percentage for them is 55%.

2. Age Requirements: Only the candidates born on or after 1st August, 2004 are eligible. For  the candidates who belong to SC/ST/PwD category, the upper limit for date of birth is either August 1, 1999

3. Academic Background: The test is available to students who have completed their Class 12 exams in any discipline (science, commerce or arts).

4. Appearing applicants: Candidates should have cleared class 12 or an equivalent exam in 2023 and 2024. Appearing in class 12 in 2025, candidates are also eligible.

Selection Process

Selection will be done based on the performance in Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted thereafter. Candidates who fail to appear for the aptitude test, personal interview or both will not be eligible for selection. The procedure for selection is as follows:

Step 1: Application Process

Application form filling will begin in March through online mode. In order to fulfill the application form, students will have to approach the official IIM Indore website. The application form will be filled out by the applicants submitting their own information, education history and personal details.

 In addition candidates must upload scanned copies of the following documents:

  • Passport size photograph

  • Class 12th mark sheet to verify eligibility

  • Signature

There will also be an application fee that the candidates will have to pay. The form has to be filled within the prescribed duration and incomplete or erroneous submissions will be disqualified.

Step 2: Aptitude Test (AT) 

As per the applications received, the shortlisted candidates fulfilling minimum eligibility standards will be invited for the Aptitude Test (AT). The aptitude test will be organised in 36 cities of the country. The exam pattern is mentioned below.

Step 3: Composite Score Calculation

The Admissions Committee will decide on the minimal cutoff mark for each section. The minimum cutoff mark for every part will depend on the category of applicants. There will be no individual regret letters issued to the rejected applicants in the personal interview round.

The applicants with qualifying scores in IPMAT will be receive an interview call.

The final selection of the candidate depends on the performance in personal interviews. Candidates who have scored positive raw scores and minimum marks in each three sections of the Aptitude Test are eligible for a personal interview.

Step 5: Final Selection

Only candidates who fulfill the criteria will be shortlisted for final selection. A category-wise merit list will be made depending on the Composite Score (CS) and provisional admission will be offered by the reservation rules of the government of India.

The application fee for the IPMAT Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test varies with each candidate category. The amount for General and NC-OBC candidates is ₹4130 while for SC, ST and PwD applicants, it is ₹2065. Both fees include 18% GST. The mode of application will be online and any form of digital payment including credit cards, debit cards, internet banking, mobile banking or UPI will be supported.
