The programs were launched on July 14, 2025 by IIM Indore Director Prof. Himanshu Rai. Dr. Uttiyo Raychaudhury who is the vice-provost of the University of Denver was the main guest at the event.  Prof. Rajhans Mishra chair of the PhD programs at IIM Indore also attended.

Prof. Rai urged learners to become "scholar warriors" who blend research and a strong sense of social purpose. He stressed values such as curiosity, integrity and a desire to make a difference. Dr. Raychaudhury complimented IIM Indore as one of the premier institutions in higher education and challenged scholars to embrace their journey with imagination and receptivity.

Prof. Mishra reminded the attendees that IIM Indore was the first IIM to launch a governance-centric executive doctorate and urged them to implement their studies on real-world problems in their sectors and societies.

These programs align with the vision of IIM Indore in generating research-driven leaders with the intent to work on significant business and policy problems. The institute which is famous worldwide for its "Triple Crown" accreditation (EQUIS, AMBA, AACSB) offers executive scholars the opportunity for enhanced coursework, expert mentorship and a robust research environment. IIM Indore looks forward to shaping more leaders to bring about an inclusive and sustainable India by 2047.
