IIM Bangalore Batch Profile for PGP Class of 2024

The IIM Bangalore MBA batch 2025-27 comprises 535 students with 214 female and 321 male candidates showcasing excellent gender diversity. The batch is highly diversified in terms of academic backgrounds. The majority (393 students) are from an engineering background while others have backgrounds in commerce (54), arts and humanities (33), science (30) and other streams (6). Furthermore, 18 students are professionally qualified like CA, CS or ICWA.

As far as IIMB MBA work experience is concerned the batch is balanced. About 73 students are freshers while the majority of students have some experience. Approximately 130 students possess 1–2 years of experience and 178 students possess 2–3 years of experience. Others have 3–4 years (90 students) or more than 4 years (39 students) of experience. This balance provides a dynamic environment for learning with diverse industry exposure.

Age-wise most of the students are between 23 to 28 years with 224 students in the age group of 23–25 and 242 students in the age group of 26–28. Younger students of 20–22 years (73 students) and higher age and experience above 28 years (30 students) are also available.

The foreign applicants admitted via the GMAT channel scores vary from 650 to 770 with an average of 713 and a median of 710. All in all the batch is well-diversified in terms of academics, work experience and age enabling a rich and diversified peer-learning experience at IIM Bangalore.

IIM Bangalore PGPBA Class of 2024 Batch Profile

The 2024 batch of PGPBA (Post Graduate Program in Business Analytics) at IIM Bangalore consists of 72 students among whom 9 are male and 13 are female applicants. The academic backgrounds of the PGPBA batch are predominantly technical and 61 students have engineering degrees. Management (3 students), commerce (3 students), science (2 students), and others (3 students) account for other backgrounds making the overall academic composition diverse.

On the work experience front, the batch has a healthy mix of freshers and experienced hands. About 15 students have no experience and the others have different levels of experience: 19 students have less than one year of experience, 16 have 1–2 years, 14 have 2–3 years and some have more than 3 years of experience.

Referring to age diversity, 40 students fall in the 23 to 25 years category. There are 14 students in the 20–22 years, 16 in the 26–28 years and 2 students in the more than 28 years category. This diversity in background, experience and age contributes to the dynamic and interactive learning process within the PGPBA program at IIM Bangalore.

IIM Bangalore EPGP Class of 2025 Batch Profile

The 2025 batch of the EPGP (Executive Post Graduate Program) at IIM Bangalore comprises a total of 73 students including 53 male and 20 female students. The average experience in the batch is 7 years with the highest experienced candidate having 13 years of industry background. Approximately 26% of the batch has international work experience providing global exposure to the classroom.

Academically, the GMAT range of the batch is between 640 and 760 with an average of 698. Candidates in this batch belong to diverse industries. The most significant representation is from Banking and Financial Institutions (15 candidates), followed by Oil & Gas/Energy (11) and sectors such as IT/Digital Services (7), Manufacturing (9), Engineering (6), Consulting and BFSI (8) and others like Government/PSU, Healthcare and Consumer sectors.

IIM Bangalore PGPEM Class of 2025 Batch Profile

The PGPEM 2025 batch of IIM Bangalore consists of 80 working professionals from all walks of life and various academic backgrounds. Amongst them 22 are women and 58 are men.

The mean work experience in the batch is 11 years with the highest experienced student of 22 years and lowest of 4 years. The participant age varies between 26 and 47 years with a mean age of 34 reflecting an experienced and mature group.

Professionally, the batch is representative of various dimensions. The maximum number of students belong to manufacturing and IT industries (23 each) followed by retail, consulting, finance, energy, aerospace and telecom. Few are from other industries too.

Scholarship-wise the majority of students have undergraduate engineering degrees (67) with some having degrees from commerce, science, arts and other disciplines. This combination of education and experience creates a diverse collection of views in the classroom perfect for peer learning and leadership development.

IIM Bangalore PGPPM Class of 2025 Batch Profile

The present batch of the PGPPM (Post Graduate Program in Public Policy and Management) at IIM Bangalore comprises 18 professionals drawn mainly from different government departments and ministries. The largest number representing 9 candidates is from the Ministry of Railways. Others belong to departments such as Telecommunications, Finance, Environment and Forests, Income Tax, Corporate Affairs and Rural Development.

Experience-wise the batch is excels. The majority of the candidates have 6 to 14 years of work experience and a few have more than 15 years of experience. This brings great real-world policy experience to the class.

Academically, the batch comprises candidates with varied undergraduate backgrounds. Most of them have degrees in Engineering (12 students) followed by Arts, Science and other fields. The batch has one female candidate and the remaining are male. The PGPPM batch overall consists of mid-career professionals with extensive experience in public administration and service.
