1. Institute’s & Corporate Sponsored Scholarships

The Indian Institute of Management Amritsar provides a fixed number of scholarships to eligible candidates on a merit basis.

These IIM Amritsar scholarships are as follows-

• At the end of the first and second years of the MBA program, students with the highest CGPA.

• At the end of their first and second years, students in the MBA-BA program had the highest CGPA.

• At the end of their first and second years, students in the MBA-HR program had the highest CGPA.

• Scholarships are also offered to the top four students, each from the first and second year, from a combined list of MBA, MBA-BA, and MBA-HR students ranked by CGPA, except those covered under (a), (b), and (c) above.

Note-The entire cost of tuition for the year the scholarship is given is equal to the IIM Amritsar scholarship amount.

2. Scholarships by Ministries- National Scholarship Portal

IIM Amritsar PhD Scholarship (Financial Assistance)

 The key points regarding  financial assistance granted to IIM Amritsar PhD students are given below:

• A monthly doctoral fellowship of Rs 40,000 is offered for the first and second years of the program.

• After the successful completion of the comprehensive examination, a joint doctoral scholarship of Rs 45,000 per month shall be offered starting from the third year until the end of the fourth year or until the submission of the thesis, whichever is earlier.

• The doctoral committee may, subject to satisfactory progress, consider offering a fifth-year doctoral fellowship of Rs 45,000 per month, subject to approval by the Director of IIM-Amritsar.

• For the purchase of a computer after the completion of the coursework—that is, after the successful completion of the comprehensive examination—a sum of Rs 50,000 shall be provided.

• 25,000/- per yr (for 4 yrs) for contingency grant to be disbursed on a reimbursement basis on submission of receipts for expenses incurred for participation in conferences and workshops, purchase of books, and other research-related activities.

• International conference/workshop/summer school participations (Rs. 1,75,000 maximum per year as per receipts submitted after the completion of the doctoral program)
