The XAT 2026 exam will be held on 4 Jan and candidates are expected to follow the dress code and rules of the XAT exam centre strictly to avoid problems while entering the examination centre and conducting the examination.
On 4 Jan 2026 the XAT exam will be held in 109 Indian cities. This exam will be held in computer based mode at pre selected test centers. As test takers are aware they must comply with all parameters specified in their XAT 2026 admit card to avoid any problems during examinations. This examination will also be supervised through CCTV and strict identification will be carried out to avoid any sort of fraud.

XAT 2026 Exam Schedule and Timings
The entire time for the XAT exam is 180 minutes. During the test there won't be any breaks. However if a test-taker needs to take a bio break it will not result in any extension of time for the test.
XAT 2026 Dress Code Guidelines
Candidates must follow basic guidelines in order to enter the centre without difficulty, although there are no set dress rules. It is mandatory to follow XAT dress codes to avoid last minute problems.
XAT 2026 Exam Day Rules and Guidelines
Candidates are expected to carefully follow these guidelines on the day of the test. The common XAT exam day mistakes to avoid and things to keep in mind are as follows -
Carry a valid Photo Id, which can be Aadhaar card, Voter Id, Passport, College Id or a Driving Licence.
Bring two colour printouts featuring the XAT 2026 admit card along with a recent photograph pasted on it.
Cooperate with the personnel during frisking and identification processes.
Only the on screen calculator or the rough sheets may be used.
Bags and other valuables are not allowed inside the examination hall.
Leave the examination hall only during the official exit procedure.
Rough sheets should be returned to the invigilator before leaving the centre.
Carry any ball point pen of black or blue colour.
Reach the examination center much prior to the reporting time.
Answers should be saved before moving on to the next question.
You are not to have cellular phones, watches, calculators, headphones or other electronic devices.
Read all the instructions that will appear on the screen carefully.
