The 2025 SNAP exam is all set to be held on 6, 14 and 20 December. As the dates of the exam come near students should begin planning how they will approach test day. Many aspirants will finish CAT before SNAP which gives a good sense of strengths and weaknesses. However SNAP works very differently from CAT so the preparation strategy must be adjusted accordingly. Even in the last week preparation for SNAP continues. A few smart decisions in these final days can make a big difference in your score.
SNAP 2025 Exam Dates
SNAP has sixty questions to be solved in sixty minutes with no sectional time limit. The paper contains three parts -

1. General English
This section consists of Verbal Reasoning and Verbal Ability. As improvement in vocabulary and grammar takes time focus on brushing up the basics. Try to understand most words you read and review common grammar rules. With repetition the skills like phrase correction and parajumbles get better. Practice the concepts by using example papers and completing practice examinations.
2. Analytical and Logical Reasoning
This is the largest section so it requires much attention. Success depends on picking up the right questions and spotting small details. Do practice regularly in order to solve such questions much quicker on the day of the exam.
3. Quantitative, DI and DS
This area improves quickly with consistent practice. If you have prepared for CAT most SNAP questions will feel easier. Work on arithmetic, algebra and basic DI. Practice regularly so that you are able to solve these questions faster on the day of the exam.
Final Tips to Score Better in SNAP 2025
1. Focus on planning
By now you know what you are good at. Spend the last two days planning which questions to attempt first and which to avoid.
2. Improve only your weak areas
Mock tests already show your strengths so use the final days strengthening weak spots and not revising everything.
3. Improve speed and accuracy in work.
Attempt each question carefully because for every wrong answer 0.25 mark is reduced. If anything is taking more than a minute then skip it. It is not necessary to attempt all 60 questions.
4. Revise fundamental English grammar
Go through common grammar rules and errors. This helps you answer verbal questions faster and with fewer mistakes.
5. Edit idiomatic expressions and phrases
Spend a little time reviewing new idioms and phrases plus basic vocabulary to improve your English score.
6. Don't start new LR topics
Only revise LR if you have practised it regularly. Starting completely new topics at this stage will cause confusion.
7. Stay calm
Proper reading of instructions, keeping a cool mind and avoiding panic can save many marks. Even if the paper seems tough attempt what you know well.
Mistakes You Should Avoid on SNAP 2025 Day
1. Not reading the questions properly
There is separate time to read instructions. Go through the questions carefully and then decide which ones to attempt. Negative marking applies only to wrong answers not ones that are skipped
2. Poor time management
Divide your hour intelligently. For example -
15 minutes for Quant
25 minutes for Analytical & Logical Reasoning
20 minutes for English
Aspirants can choose any order in the SNAP exam that suits them the best.
3. Trying to answer inappropriate questions
If you cannot solve a question with full accuracy skip it. Accuracy matters more than an attempt at everything.
4. Avoid basic revision
In the last hours before the exam revise only the most important formulas, concepts and common question types.
5. Panic during the test
Stress leads to simple mistakes. Never panic just trust your preparation and answer the question at hand.
