He further added that IIM Jammu will sign a memorandum of understanding with AIT Bangkok. Also, an AI program has been initiated at IIM Lucknow and IIM Ranchi, which introduced a Teaching with AI course.
The Minister had inaugurated the two-day Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave at Bharat Mandapam. He had also launched the Bodhan AI Centre of Excellence that would work in collaboration to promote AI across India's education system.
He stated that the India AI will be inclusive in its design, flexible in its structure and self-reliant in its capability. He also highlighted the significance of AI in education and advised that stakeholders must build an AI model that is able to scale, be responsible, ethical and focused on India’s needs so that it will lead to the transformation of education and result in the vision of Viksit Bharat.
He expressed his hopes that this would not just bolster India’s strength in AI, but also help strengthen its global leadership in AI and build a powerful digital public infrastructure in the field of education and make AI accessible to everybody.
Sukanta Majumdar, the Minister of State for Education, emphasised the importance of S.A.F.E. AI Secure, Accountable, Fair and Empowering to build a technology platform that will drive inclusive growth in the country.
Two technical sessions were organized during the event. One session focused on school education and classroom solutions. Another session was focused on teacher training programs and reforms. According to the official release, the sessions brought the leading organizations and startups together to present the latest AI solutions. The discussions centered around the improvement of classroom learning methods, teacher assistance programs, the improvement of learning fundamentals and governance systems.
The exhibition has also been launched to showcase AI-based innovations used in school education, higher education and skill development. The exhibition has helped to provide an opportunity for interaction between policymakers and innovators.
