Birla Global University has welcomed the inaugural batch of its MBA in Business Analytics program for the 2026 - 2028 academic session, along with students of its flagship MBA course. According to the university, the two-year MBA in Business Analytics program has been jointly designed and delivered with KPMG India, becoming the first university-based program of its kind in Eastern India.

The inauguration event was attended by Gaurav Sharma, Senior Vice President at SolarSquare, as the chief guest and Narayanan Ramaswamy, Partner and National Leader, Education and Skill Development at KPMG India, as the guest of honour. The event was also joined by BGU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kulbhushan Balooni, Birla School of Management Dean Prof. P. Nayak, Registrar Tanmay Kumar Pattanayak, faculty members and students.
During the event, Ramaswamy highlighted the importance of blending academic learning with hands-on experience and encouraged students to stay curious and embrace emerging technologies. Sharma advised students to see challenges as opportunities for personal and professional development.
The university also announced that students will participate in a 15-day orientation and immersion program beginning on July 17. The program is intended to introduce them to academic requirements, industry practices and campus life.
BGU stated that the MBA in Business Analytics program has been launched to help students gain industry-relevant skills through experiential learning and stronger connections with the corporate world.
