XLRI Delhi-NCR hosts inaugural Global Banking & Finance 2026

A renowned management institute famous for its excellence in education, industry-institute interaction and academic research, XLRI Delhi NCR, successfully concluded its first edition of the Global Conference on Banking and Finance from February 5-7, 2026. The event was a three-day conclave of experts from the world of academia, financial leadership, regulation and research.

XLRI Delhi-NCR hosts inaugural Global Banking & Finance 2026

The conference received an outstanding international response, with over 175 research papers submitted. Top institutions such as Harvard, Oxford and LSE contributed research works. After a strict peer review, 73 high-impact papers were selected. These have been presented in 24 themed sessions comprising AI and machine learning in finance, microfinance, financial inclusion, climate risks, ESG and bankruptcy. They focused on topics such as AI, machine learning, finance, microfinance, financial inclusion, climate-related risks, ESG and bankruptcy. In addition, a pre-conference tutorial on how to use these analytical tools for young researchers was also provided. Support came from top Indian financial organisations.

Mr. Amarjeet Singh from SEBI discussed aspects of developing a resilient and inclusive financial environment in the context of AI and Social Media.

A Cultural Evening on February 6th added a new dimension to the entire conferencing experience. Padmshree Dr Mahabir Guddu's troupe performed soulful Haryanvi folk songs.

Fr. Nelson A. D’Silva, S.J., Acting Director, XLRI Delhi-NCR Campus, said that the overwhelming response confirms XLRI’s role in fostering research and industry engagement. The presentations, keynotes and discussions will strengthen financial scholarship, policy-making and sustainable practices in global banking.

One of the things the conference highlighted was the increasing affinity between technology and finance and the significance of effective risk governance and evidence-based policy making. Additionally, the participants praised the in-depth discussions with academia and direct interaction with industry and regulatory leaders.

XLRI Delhi NCR, with this maiden issue, has established itself as a major forum for debate with the initiation of the Global Banking and Finance Conference.
