A newer project has been taken up by the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission, the budget of the project being ₹10.60 crore. This project aims for women entrepreneurs across the country to achieve the distinction of becoming a Millionaire Didi and a Crorepati Didi within a span.

TRLM Partners IIM Kolkata to Support Women

The project will be executed by TRLM in collaboration with IIM Kolkata Innovation Park.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed today in the presence of Sh Abhishek Singh, IAS, Secretary, Rural Development, at Agartala today.

The MoU has been signed between Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, CEO of TRLM and Dr. Vivek Kumar Rai, CEO of IIM Kolkata Innovation Park.

Within the context of the project, individual and group enterprises will be chosen in particular, and TRLM, in collaboration with IIM Kolkata Innovation Park, will assist these enterprises in increasing their profits and sustainable business models aimed at building high-income women entrepreneurs in the state.

Officials have described this initiative as a historic step towards women’s economic empowerment in Tripura, focusing on building and enhancing economic livelihoods and grassroots entrepreneurship.
