The minister presided over the Coordination Forum Meeting of IIMs held at IIM Ahmedabad. The meeting was organised by the Department of Higher Education under the MoE along with IIM Ahmedabad.

The minister said IIMs should help India face future economic, technological and social challenges while strengthening the country’s position in the global knowledge economy.

Dharmendra Pradhan stressed that management education should not only focus on innovation but also on ethics and values based leadership.

Discussions on Entrance Exams and Policies
The forum also discussed aligning undergraduate entrance exams with future skill requirements such as:

Fee refund policies
The proposed changes aim to improve transparency, consistency and student convenience across IIMs.
Faculty Exchange Policy Proposed
Another major topic was a proposed faculty secondment policy that would allow young faculty members to work across different IIM campuses.

Reservation Policy Also Reviewed
The forum reviewed the implementation of reservation policies for faculty and non-faculty positions to ensure diversity and inclusiveness in higher education institutions.
