XLRI-Xavier School of Management has reported strong participation from experienced industry leaders in its Senior Executive Development Program in Transformational Leadership for CXOs. According to data collected from eight completed cohorts involving more than 300 participants over 50 per cent of enrolled executives have more than 22 years of professional experience.
The institute stated that the trend reflects increasing demand among senior professionals for leadership development programs that focus on behavioural, strategic and transformational skills beyond technical expertise.
Applications for Batch 09 of the program are currently open through Jaro Education the official enrolment partner. The new batch is scheduled to commence on 30 May 2026.
Diverse Industry Participation
Executives from multiple industries have participated in the program including information technology, automotive, banking and financial services, pharmaceuticals, energy, insurance, petrochemicals, real estate and telecommunications.
Participants in the program have come from top leadership roles including Founder and CEO, Senior Vice President, General Manager, Chief Technical Architect and Head of Human Resources.
The program has also attracted professionals from varied educational backgrounds. Around 29.4 per cent hold engineering degrees, 16.9 per cent are postgraduates, 33.3 per cent of participants are graduates and 16.7 per cent possess MBA qualifications. Participants with doctoral degrees, chartered accountancy, law and medical backgrounds have also joined previous cohorts.
Program Structure and Curriculum
The eight-month program is delivered through weekly live online sessions conducted on Sundays along with two on-campus residential immersions at the XLRI-Xavier School of Management campus.
The curriculum focuses on five major areas-
Mindful leadership and emotional regulation
Leading self and teams with transformational leadership skills
Psychological resilience and organisational influence
Ethical leadership inspired by Indian philosophy
Developmental networking and appreciative inquiry during campus immersion
The program includes reflective journal assignments and peer group projects as part of the assessment process. Participants must maintain a minimum attendance of 70 per cent to receive certification.
The course is facilitated by Manish Singhal Professor at XLRI-Xavier School of Management who holds academic qualifications from IIM Calcutta.
Focus on Transformational Leadership
According to the institute, the program has been designed to address the growing need for leaders capable of managing uncertainty, organisational complexity and cultural transformation. The curriculum combines applied neuroscience, behavioural science, mindfulness and leadership development practices to help executives strengthen strategic decision-making and people leadership capabilities.
