The IIM Raipur flagship two-year Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGP/MBA) is structured into distinct phases: foundation, immersion and specialisation.

IIM Raipur First Year Syllabus of PGP Program

The first year (48–60 credits) builds a solid foundation across diverse management disciplines. Here’s a trimmed table for clarity:

Note: Pedagogic approaches involve case studies, research projects, industry guest lectures and quantitative labs.  As per IIM Raipur each core subject develops the intellectual, moral, and strategic decision-making skills expected of contemporary business leaders.

Summer Internship: To implement their classroom learning, students are given 8–10 weeks of practical training in corporate environments following Term III.IIM Raipur's second-year PGP program syllabus

Individual interests and professional aspirations are the main focus of the second year. Students have access to more than 16 electives, including general management, finance, marketing, human resources, operations, strategy and analytics. Examples include investment banking, supply chain analytics, international human resources, lean enterprise and business ethics. 

A capstone paper or term project enables real world experience and deliberate application in actual situations under academic guidance. Industry workshops and foreign immersion programs create a Global view.

Second Year Curriculum

Curriculum in the Second Year

Second Year (Terms IV–VI): During this time students must concentrate on electives and develop their skills by writing a term paper or capstone project.

The second-year curriculum is entirely elective-based, allowing students to customise their education by balancing classroom instruction with field application.

• Finance: Risk management, valuation and derivatives

• Marketing : International Marketing, Brand Management

• IT & Operations: Lean Six Sigma, Digital Business Strategies

• Human Resource Management: Conflict Resolution, Strategic HRM, Negotiation.

Note: Workshops, live projects, industry interaction and international immersion opportunities are all integrated within the syllabus to balance the IIM Raipur MBA program and make it more practical.

IIM Raipur EX MBA (ePGP) Program Syllabus

The program will consist of 35.5 credits, which will be distributed over 6 terms. One credit is equivalent to 30 hours of classroom time. The entire course is intended to be finished in about two years.

This program will comprise of:

• 465 hours of Core Courses (15.5 credits)

• 180 hours of Advanced Core Course (6 credits)

• 300 hours of elective course (10 credits)—done during terms V & VI.

• Integrated business simulation project on the application of managerial principles in a real-life scenario—2 credits.

• There also shall be a mini dissertation with a faculty guide, and this shall account for 2 credits.

• Mini dissertation to be carried out under the supervision of a faculty member- 2 credits. Note: Total classroom hours = 945

Program format

There will be a week-long on-campus part in the first year, followed by online courses. There would be online tests at the conclusion of every term. Additionally, a one-week campus visit would be required in the second year.
