As per the 2022-24 final placement report of IIM Mumbai the maximum package offered was ₹54 LPA with the top 10% averaging ₹47.29 LPA and the top 50% averaging ₹33.84 LPA. Summer internships recorded satisfactory results with pay up to ₹6.8 lakhs a month.

The IIM Mumbai Summer Internship Report 2024-26 for MBA, MBA, MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management and MBA in Sustainable Management reflects outstanding internship experiences with good stipends and industry diversity. The maximum stipend offered was ₹6.80 lakhs per month and average and median stipends of ₹2.49 lakhs and ₹2.50 lakhs, respectively. The highest 10% of students were rewarded with a mean monthly stipend of ₹4.50 lakhs while the highest 20% and 50% were paid means of ₹4.25 lakhs and ₹3.62 lakhs respectively reflecting immense marketplace demand for IIM Mumbai talent. A total of 180 recruiters participated this season out of which 60 were first time recruiters reflecting the increasing business confidence in the institute.

IIM Mumbai Summer Internship Placement 2024-26 sector-wise

The division of proposals sector wise was evenly spread with FMCG holding 22%, followed by manufacturing processes 16% and consulting 15%. BFSI contributed 12% of total offers whereas pharmaceuticals contributed 10%. IT/Tech companies provided 9% of the opportunities while e-commerce and retail provided 8%. The remaining 8% were from other sectors showing the diversity of chances available to students.

The IIM Mumbai Final Placement Report 2022-24 for MBA, MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management and MBA in Sustainable Management reiterated the institute's outstanding placement achievement across a range of industries. The biggest yearly package offered was ₹54 lakhs, average and median earnings for Pre Placement Offers standing at ₹29.44 lakhs and ₹28 lakhs respectively. The highest 10% of graduates from IIM Mumbai received an average salary of ₹47.29 lakhs, while the highest 50% received an average salary of ₹33.84 lakhs, reflecting their high value in the job market. 180 organisations took part in the placement drive, out of which 67 were first time recruiters and offered diverse avenues. Importantly 170 PPOs were given leading to a PPO percentage of 38.11%, indicating recruiters' trust in the institute's pool of talent.

Final placement of IIM Mumbai 24 batch sector-wise

Manufacturing was the top hirer in the distribution space with 19% of the placements, followed by consulting at 18% and FMCG 16%. IT/tech made a 13% contribution, with BFSI and e-commerce/retail each making up 10%. Other industries, including pharmaceuticals 3% and other industries 11% made up the diverse mix of opportunities.

Sector-wise Highlights of IIM Mumbai Average salary MBA 24-26 batch

Retail and e-commerce recorded the highest mean annual salary of ₹34.84 lakhs followed by consultancy ₹31.30 lakhs, FMCG ₹30.83 lakhs and other sectors ₹27.11 lakhs.

The Final Placement Report of the VLFM program at IIM Mumbai displays spectacular outcomes for the 2022-24 batch solidifying the institute's reputation as a powerful industry player.
