The IIM Bodh Gaya admission process for the MBA batch 2026–28 is based on a multi-stage admission framework and involves CAT 2023 score, shortlisting, Personal Appearance (PI) and final composite score preparation.

IIM Bodh Gaya PGP/MBA Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) from a recognised university

• Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD)

• Valid CAT score

• Final-year students may apply provisionally

• No mandatory work experience (freshers eligible)

Eligibility for IIM Bodh Gaya MBA-DBM

Eligibility-

UG with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD), Indian Citizens

IIM Bodh Gaya MBA-HHM Eligibility

•  UG with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD), Indian citizens.

•  UG/PG in healthcare (medical, pharmacy, paramedical, nursing, etc.), engineering, science, law/legal studies

•  BBA-healthcare specialisations are also eligible to apply. 

IIM Bodh Gaya EMBA Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline (including CA/CS/ICWA) with at least 50%  and relaxed to 45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates marks or equivalent. 

• Candidates must have completed a minimum of 15 years of formal education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 system), whereby the candidate should have passed a UG and PG degree from any registered university

• You will need to appear for an Online Entrance exam designed for the online EMBA 

•  have a valid CAT score (CAT score of tests taken within the last 5 years)

•  A valid GMAT/GRE score (GMAT/GRE score taken within the last 5 years) 

IIM Bodh Gaya IPM Eligibility

•  Aspirants should have passed or be appearing in the 10+2/XII/HSC examination in the arts/commerce/science stream or equivalent with 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD/transgender) or more in the subject in this stream in 2024 or be appearing in 2025.

• Those who are expecting to complete the standard XII/HSC or its equivalent by July 31, 2025, will also be eligible to apply.

• The candidate is required to have passed the class 10 exam with a minimum score of 60% (or 55% for those from SC, ST, PwD, or transgender) in the year prior to 2022.

Note – The program integrates UG + PG management education

IIM Bodh Gaya PhD & Executive PhD Eligibility

• JRF (UGC/CSIR or equivalent)

IIM Bodh Gaya PGP/MBA & Admission Process 2025–27

The IIM Bodh Gaya MBA admission process consists of four major stages.

Step 1: Apply for CAT

• Candidates aspiring to take admission into IIM Bodh Gaya must appear for the CAT 

• While filling the CAT application form, candidates need to select IIM Bodh Gaya.

• IIM Bodh Gaya accepts only the CAT entrance test score for regular MBA programs.

• For this academic year, there is no other MBA application form for IIM Bodh Gaya, other than CAT and CAP.

• Eligible candidates can be considered for further stages.

Step 2: Shortlisting Criteria

• There is a minimum sectional and overall CAT percentile cut-off which is applicable at IIM Bodh Gaya.

• The category-wise cutoff is used for shortlisting of candidates.

• All those who clear the cut-offs are eligible to go for PI 

• Academic consistency and profile balance are also reviewed.

Note – Securing a CAT cut-off is not sufficient for admission; this is merely a qualifying mark for PI

Step 3: PI Round

• Shortlisted candidates participate in the Common Admission Process (CAP)

Step 4: Final Merit List & Admission Offer

Candidates who score above or equal to the minimum performance requirement in the PI shall be considered for the final merit list. The relaxed standard may also vary for different categories; the minimum qualifying marks in PI would be 25%, and in aggregate it will be 50%. 

Note- The candidate who secures less than these qualifying marks as mentioned above in PI will not be included in the final merit list. The minimum performance requirement will be decided by the Admission Committee of IIM Bodh Gaya during Merit List preparation

IIM Bodh Gaya Selection Criteria & Weightage 2026

IIM Bodh Gaya PhD / Executive PhD Admission Criteria

• Test scores (CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/JRF (UGC/CSIR)) cut-offs are used to shortlist for PI.

• Personal Interview – Applicants have to turn up for a personal interview at IIM Bodh Gaya in front of the selection panel after getting shortlisted based on their entrance exam results.

•  Preparing the Merit List – The Merit List will be prepared based on the personal interview & research aptitude (second stage of PI), academic qualification and relevant work experience.

• IIM Bodh Gaya offers multiple management programs– MBA (PGP), MBA-DBM, MBA-HHM, Executive MBA (EMBA), Integrated Program in Management (IPM) and PhD / Executive PhD.
