XLRI Delhi-NCR has welcomed a new batch of students for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development (PGDM IEV) program. The executive program is designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs by combining management education with practical learning, incubation support, mentorship and industry exposure. The new cohort was introduced to XLRI through a three-day orientation program.

Orientation was meant to acquaint the students with the XLRI academic environment as well as make them familiar with the burgeoning start-up ecosystem in India. Some of the subjects covered during these sessions included venture capital and funding, India’s innovative ecosystem via Startup India, NITI Aayog, entrepreneurial platforms like Jagriti Yatra and the campus resources available.
The program was initiated by Fr Antony R Uvari SJ, Director; Prof Munish Thakur, Dean Academics Fr Alwyn Rodrigues SJ, Dean Administration and Finance and Ms Rachna Tiwary, COO Entrepreneurship.
Speaking to the new batch, Fr Antony R Uvari SJ, Director, XLRI Delhi-NCR, pointed out that entrepreneurship does not just mean having successful ventures but is all about recognising opportunities, generating social value and turning ideas into something productive. He further stated that innovation through purpose, integrity and compassion can help bring in ventures which add value to society.
Prof Munish Thakur, Dean (Academics), XLRI Delhi-NCR, hoped that the PGDM IEV program would help the students build an entrepreneurial mindset along with good decision-making skills.
PGDM IEV program from the AICTE-approved course is meant for aspiring entrepreneurs, future family business owners and early-career professionals. This two-year program involves classroom studies along with practical project work, internships, interactions with founders, participation in startup conclaves, industrial visits and meetings with investors.
Students will also have access to all the services provided by the entrepreneurship ecosystem at XLRI through XCEED.
