SAIL Collaborates with MDI Gurgaon for Global Leadership and Skill Development

SAIL has partnered with MTI and MDI Gurgaon through an MoU to start an Executive Education Program aimed at building future leadership talent. The signing took place at SAIL’s Corporate Office in New Delhi. The main aim of this partnership is to build future leaders in the organisation and improve executive education.

Both institutions will work together to design special training programs for officers. These programs will help them adapt to changing industry needs and global competition. The focus will be on modern management skills, leadership growth, strategic thinking and innovation-based learning beyond traditional training.

Focus on Modern Training Models and Leadership Development

Under this MoU, special leadership programs will be designed for SAIL officers to help them become more competitive globally. These programs will focus on strategy, innovation and leadership skills.

An action learning model will be used where officers learn by solving real business problems and improving decision-making.

The agreement also includes overseas training programs to give exposure to global work practices. Along with this joint research and consulting projects will be done to strengthen industry-academia collaboration. Special case studies will also be created to make the training more practical and useful.

International Cooperation and Organisational Capability Growth

The main aim of this initiative is to improve SAIL's organisational capability and bring it in line with global standards. The program will not only focus on sharing knowledge but also on improving practical performance, decision-making skills and leadership abilities.

The MoU was signed by Sanjay Dhar, Executive Director HR-L&D at MTI SAIL and Professor Sumita Rai, Dean Industry Connect at MDI Gurgaon. Senior officials including K K Singh, Director Personnel SAIL, were also present.

Benefits of the MoU in the Future

This MoU will help SAIL develop strong future leaders. It will improve decision - making in the organisation.
