The new NMAT Exam Pattern and NMAT Exam Syllabus 2025 have been made public by the Graduate Management Admission Council. There are 36 questions in each of the three main categories of the NMAT by GMAC Syllabus. All the sections should be completed within 120 minutes.

The NMAT by GMAC Syllabus aims to examine a candidate's language skills, reasoning skills and quantitative skills. The test would be organised in a 45-day testing window providing flexibility to students to select their desired test date, time and test centre.

The computer-based NMAT by GMAC Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025 consists of three timed sections. Each section has its own time limit and candidates must complete it within the given time before moving to the next one. Here’s the detailed exam pattern:

The marking scheme for NMAT 2025

The NMAT 2025 Exam Syllabus follows a simple scoring system:

  • Each question carries 3 marks.

  • No points are deducted for incorrect responses.

  • Unattempted questions have no deduction.

  • Once a section has been submitted answers cannot be altered.
