NMIMS Management Aptitude Test or NMAT exam 2025 is a popular national entrance test for admission into MBA and PGDM courses in numerous top management institutes in India. Every institute has its own eligibility criteria, admission process and procedure but all the institutes participating in the test accept NMAT2025 scores for shortlisting the candidates.
For NMIMS, the eligibility is graduation with minimum marks and work experience while other top colleges such as SPJIMR Mumbai, XIM Bhubaneswar, K J Somaiya Institute of Management, ISB and TAPMI Manipal also accept NMAT by GMAC scores with individual eligibility and program requirements.
Colleges can have further requirements like preferred work experience, minimum graduation marks, special final-year student eligibility etc. There can be certain programs that permit candidates with top rank or with a keen interest in particular subjects to apply even without an entrance test score.

NMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
1. Education - Candidates should possess a three-year bachelor's degree from a recognised institute or university. It can be in any stream like arts, commerce, science or engineering.
2. Minimum Marks - In order to graduate candidates must have earned at least 50% of the possible points. It is computed on the total marks of all the subjects in all the years.
3. Last Year Students - Students who are about to graduate may also apply for NMAT 2025. Admission of students will be considered provisional until they pass and fulfil the 50 per cent criteria.
4. Age Limit - There is no bar on the age limit so any individual fulfilling the educational standards can apply.
5. Admission Confirmation - Admission of students will be confirmed only when they provide their final mark sheet or degree certificate attesting to the fact that they have secured the minimum marks.

Final year students are also eligible to apply but have to pass their exams with the specified marks and submit original documents during admission.
2+ years of work experience after graduation is desired for all full-time MBA programs.
NMIMS Work Experience Rules
Postgraduation work experience only.
Self-employment or work in a family business is not accepted.
Employments in which the pay was made in cash will not be considered.
Internship, apprenticeship or trainee work will not be regarded as work experience.
Third-party verification of work experience will be done. Misleading or inadequate claims will result in cancellation.
Applicants need to provide a work experience undertaking in the second phase of selection.
Eligibility of Top Colleges Accepting NMAT Scores 2025
Numerous premier MBA and PGDM institutions in India accept NMAT exam scores. Typically, aspirants must have a recognised bachelor's degree with a minimum of marks in graduation. Final-year students are eligible to apply but admission is finalised only after they achieve the desired marks.
A few programs are inclined towards experience, whereas others accept people directly after graduation. Scores in entrance tests such as NMAT, CAT, GMAT, XAT or GRE are typically required, although certain programs permit top rank holders or people with extra special interest in a sector to give their applications without a test score.

NMAT Policy for Reservation
Admissions are handled by each college individually and each college determines its own cut-offs. GMAC does not make decisions on reservation policies.
Certain colleges may have reservation policies for NMAT-based MBA and PGDM admissions. Candidates should refer to each college's website for information.
No minimum NMAT score is needed to register and no fee concession for reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, PwD.
The same application fee of ₹2800 is paid by all candidates.
There are reserved seats for widows or children of military personnel who were killed or disabled in war or peace and for children of migrants from Kashmir if they are eligible for the course and meet cutoffs.
