MDI Gurgaon Convocation 2026: 774 Graduates

Convocation 2026 at the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, was held on April 2nd in the institute's Gurugram Campus. Diploma degrees were conferred upon 774 students of postgraduate and doctoral programs in the presence of faculty members, institute authorities and Chief Guest, Mr. Sudhir Sitapati, MD & CEO of Godrej Consumer Products Limited.

Graduating students from the PGDM, PGDM-HRM, PGDM-IB, PGDM-Business Analytics, PGDM-BM, PGDM-BA, PGDM-Online, PGDM-PPM and FPM programs took part in the ceremony. This event was a celebration of their success after completing their studies and entering their profession, both in India and globally.

Proceedings & Medal Award Ceremony

The ceremony started with the march past and the formal inauguration of the convocation ceremony. The invocation and welcome addresses by the Director, Prof. Arvind Sahay and the Interim Chairperson, Prof. Sangeeta Talwar were followed by the medal award ceremony. Then, the Director of the institute gave the annual report presentation, followed by the conferring of the diplomas and concluding with the singing of the National Anthem.

Key Messages from Leadership

Asking the graduates to work towards their future goals, Sangeeta Talwar stressed the need for perseverance, determination and sound decision-making abilities to make their careers successful and develop strong institutions. Dr Arvind Sahay focused on fostering the ability of analysis, values and responsible leadership amongst the students.

While addressing the gathering, Sudhir Sitapati asked the students to become specialists in the chosen field, stay curious and make efforts to create value in the long run.

Awards and Acknowledgements

Prof. Jyotsna Bhatnagar, Dean - Graduate Programs, said that the class of 2026 exhibited the qualities of discipline and adaptability by following a demanding academic program, which prepares them for a challenging business environment.

The graduates have been able to find their places in various industries such as consulting, finance, IT and manufacturing, indicating the trust of industries in the skills possessed by the graduates.
