IIM Kozhikode Awards Degrees to 1,432 Students at 28th Convocation

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) organised its 28th convocation ceremony on April 4 at the Kozhikode campus. 1432 degrees were awarded to students in eight academic programs.

Chief Guest and Important Guests

The Chief Guest of the ceremony was T V Narendran who is the CEO & MD of Tata Steel. The ceremony was chaired by V P Nandakumar who is the Acting Chairperson of the Board of Governors along with other important guests like Director Debashis Chatterjee.

MBA Degree Recipients

Of all the graduates, 1,395 received their MBA degrees. Among these 488 students obtained their PGP degree, 62 their PGP-BL degree, 53 their PGP-Finance degree and 54 their PGP-LS&M degree. There were also two executive batches of which 581 obtained their degree from the main campus while 157 obtained their degree from the Kochi campus under the Executive PGP program.

Doctoral Degrees

There were a total of 37 doctoral degrees conferred during the convocation where 22 were from the standard Doctoral Program in Management (DPM) while the remaining 15 were from the practice track of the DPM.

Gold Medalists

A total of fourteen students were awarded gold medals for their outstanding performance in academics. The winner of the much-acclaimed PGP class was Prachi Bangia and Kheyali Naskar came second while Karisma Panda emerged third. Thirukumaran Ravichanthran was hailed as the most outstanding student in this particular class.
