Wharton Dean Calls for Development of Comprehensive Resilience
Erika James the Dean of Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania delivered the keynote speech on this occasion. In her speech to the graduates she said that the demands of today's rapidly changing and uncertain environment cannot be fulfilled merely by acquiring some basic knowledge or developing cognitive skills alone. She gave a realistic leadership model to encourage new alumni to develop their strength in four different domains, such as relations, intellect, body fitness and emotional toughness.
ISB Chairperson Discusses Leadership, Integrity and Compassion
Harish Manwani who serves as Chairperson for the Executive Board of the ISB discussed the distinguishing features of the school. He emphasised that the best feature of ISB is its capability of nurturing leaders who are equipped with the skill set needed to cope with the uncertainties of life while remaining compassionate and committed to integrity.
Message From ISB Dean to ISB Pass-Out Students on Truth and Critical Thinking
Professor Madan Pillutla who is the Dean of ISB had something really important to say to the pass-out students of ISB. Firstly, he urged them not to accept things that were easy to accept. Secondly he asked them to always speak the truth. Lastly he told them to apply their analytical thinking ability in problem-solving.
Awards to Researchers
The function also paid tribute to the students of the research programme at ISB. One student of the FPM program and 21 students of the EFPM program were awarded during the ceremony.
