JIPMAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The JIPMAT 2025 examination is a national examination conducted by the National Testing Agency. The JIPMAT exam has three sections: quantitative ability (QA), data interpretation & logical reasoning (DILR) and verbal ability & reading comprehension (VARC). Sections cover a variety of themes and subthemes. Each successful answer will receive +4 marks, while erroneous responses will result in a 1 mark penalty.

In the Joint Integrated program of the Management Aptitude Test, a total of 100 MCQ-type questions are asked. The assessment test consists of 33 questions covering logical reasoning, data interpretation and quantitative aptitude. Verbal competency will be tested by 34 questions. The exam is 2:30 hours long.

NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts the test. The test is held in English. Candidates can apply for admission to IIM Jammu and IIM Bodhgaya's five-year integrated management program.

Quantitative aptitude covers a broad array of subjects, ranging from number systems, algebra and arithmetic to set theory and data sufficiency. Logical reasoning and data interpretation feature topics like blood relation, family tree, data sufficiency, seating arrangement and coding-decoding among others. Verbal ability topics covered include vocabulary, grammar and reading comprehension.

Highlights of the JIPMAT Exam 2025 Pattern

The JIPMAT is a computer-based multiple-choice test delivered in English. The test takes 150 minutes (two and a half hours). Each right response awards +4 marks and each wrong answer awards -1 mark. JIPMAT Exam Syllabus

The Quantitative Aptitude section has math questions up to Class 10. It has subjects like arithmetic, algebra, geometry and simple number operations. The Logical Reasoning section tests the candidate's data interpretation skills and logical ability. It may involve interpreting charts, graphs, tables and pattern-based questions. The Verbal Ability section tests English language skills like syntax, vocabulary, sentence correction and reading comprehension.

The JIPMAT exam is a 150-minute (2 hours and 30 minutes) multiple-choice question (MCQ) examination. Each correct response earns four marks, while each incorrect response loses one mark.

Sectional Weightage of JIPMAT Exam 2025

The Joint integrated Management Aptitude Test (JIPMAT) has the following three sections: numerical ability, logical reasoning and verbal ability. Every segment has a total of 100 questions. Each question carries four marks with every section having a maximum of 132 marks, whereas the verbal ability and reading comprehension section is 136 marks. The overall score for the exam is 400. Each correct response earns four marks, while each incorrect response loses one mark.

Yes, negative marking is used in the joint Integrated Program in the management aptitude test. One mark will be cut if a student chooses an incorrect answer.
