314 students from the MBA batch (2024-26), 39 from the EMBA batch (2023-25), 36 from the EMBA batch (2024-26), 17 from the EMBA for Working Professionals batch (2024-26), 5 Ph.D for Working Professionals and 5 Ph.D scholars received degrees in the graduation batch.
The main guest at the occasion was Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati the governor of Odisha. Prof. Mahadeo Prasad Jaiswal the Director of IIM Sambalpur and Prof. Chandan Chowdhury Chairperson-in-Charge of the Board of Governors both attended the occasion. The honoured guest was Adobe India's Vice President and Managing Director Prativa Mohapatra.
Srijan Chakraborty from MBA Batch 24-26, Varsha Sameer Meher from EMBA Batch 23-25, Priyanka Rath from EMBA Batch 24-26 and Allwyn Francis from MBAWP Batch 24-26 received the Chairman's Gold Medal, Chirag Kundra from MBA Batch 24-26, Sk Aftabuddin Mohammed from EMBA Batch 24-25, Rajkishore Kar from MBAWP Batch 24-26 and Manya Singh from MBA Batch 24-26 received the IIM Sambalpur Gold Medal for Best All Round Performance.
During his speech IIM Sambalpur Director Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal congratulated the graduating class and stated that the year 2025–2026 was a time of academic distinction, inclusivity and strategic progress. The institute moved up 16 spots in the NIRF 2025 ranking to become one of India's top business schools. In terms of learning innovation, IIM Sambalpur and Harvard Business School are being highlighted worldwide because of their AI-enabled classroom instruction.
Prativa Mohapatra the guest of honour and vice president and managing director of Adobe India inspired the graduating class by saying, Over the past three years the world has changed from a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) environment to a brittle, anxious, nonlinear and frequently unintelligible BANI environment. She recognised and valued the academic innovation and stunning campus of IIM Sambalpur.
