The 10-month blended learning program is developed using the STAR framework of strategic thinking, technology adoption, a comprehensive approach to business and responsible leadership. The program includes 18 modules, including business analytics, corporate strategy, digital transformation, AI and data science for leaders, cybersecurity and crisis management. The program ends with a capstone and simulation activity to evaluate the implementation of strategies in practical situations.
Industry trends suggest that there is a rising demand for digital and strategic leadership in the aftermath of AI and new technologies disrupting the business environment. There is also a shortage of qualified senior leaders in India’s Global Capability Centers.
As per the director of the programme, Debashis Chatterjee, the programme helps leaders sharpen their judgment, build awareness about global trends and execute strategies with discipline. The programme has been attended by vice presidents, directors, managers and functional heads from different sectors such as automotive, IT/ITES, healthcare and BFSI, with over 70% of them having experience of over 15 years.
Learning is conducted through live online classes, case studies, simulations and exercises on an interactive platform. The participants also go through a campus immersion experience of three days at IIM Kozhikode. The requirements to join the programme include a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of work experience. On completion of the programme, the participants become IIM Kozhikode alumni.
