According to the institute the curriculum is designed as a four-year (8th Sem) course that is in line with the National Education Policy.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Economics and Public Policy, Finance and Big Data, Psychology and Behavioural Sciences, Sales and Marketing and Liberal Studies are just a few of the subjects in which it offers minors in addition to a management major. Through the institute's Corporate Access Readiness and Engagement task the curriculum connects classroom instruction with research internships, exposure to an exchange semester and mentorship support.
The undergraduate curriculum, according to Debashis Chatterjee, Director of the IIM Kozhikode seeks to engage students early in their academic journey and develop multidisciplinary capability along with an ethical foundation.
According to Debashis Chatterjee, the BMS program is an attempt to involve undergraduate students in management education while promoting ethical consciousness, interdisciplinary learning and intellectual curiosity. The first batch answer indicates that interest in structured undergraduate management education is rising.
Students interested in jobs in business management, entrepreneurship, public policy consultancy and research are the target audience for this program.
The institute states that applications for the second batch will close on 15th April 2026 having opened on 20th February 2026. The first week of May will see the IIMK BMS Aptitude Test and the first week of June will see in-person interviews. The first week of August is when the new cohort's classes are anticipated to start.
