The ceremony was attended by faculty, alumni and students, as the institute celebrated its high-achieving students and recognized the student leaders, paying homage to their alumni, who have made a great impact on the world of business, technology and entrepreneurship among others.
During the ceremony the Director of the institute, Himanshu Rai honored the student committee coordinators and gave certificates to students who achieved the top academic positions for various courses.
The pre-convocation ceremony is an important event where they can recognise the dedication, leadership and achievements of our students and alumni. It is a matter of great pride for them that their students and alumni are striving for excellence and contributing to the ecosystem, Rai said.
The institute has launched the Alumni Awards 2025, honoring its alumni for their significant contributions to their respective domains.
Rahul Razdan who was part of the first batch of the PGP program (1998-2000), was awarded for his contribution to the development of global alumni engagement and the digital media and gaming industry. Gunajit Brahma, the social entrepreneur was awarded the entrepreneurship award for creating businesses around climate action and sustainable agriculture, while also connecting small farmers to the global economy.
Chetan Rai, from the Chief Minister Office Gujarat was awarded for his contributions to governance and policies. Ity Jain from Google India associated with strategic partnerships was awarded for her contributions to creating startups and fostering technology partnerships.
Kunal Purohit, the President of Tech Mahindra was awarded for his contributions to the business of emerging technology startups. Akila Moorthy the director of strategy, operations, and analytics, Google Payments California, was awarded for creating digital financial ecosystems around the world.
The institute is all set to award its students for the eight academic programs during the 27th convocation, to be held on March 28. The students who will be graduating this year are over 790.
The Chairman of BCG India, Janmejaya Sinha has agreed to participate in the convocation ceremony as the chief guest and also deliver an address to the students of the graduating class. Pre-convocation events also included a cultural show by the Prince Dance Group.
