Maruti Suzuki India Limited and NSRCEL which is IIM Bangalore's startup incubator have started the sixth cohort of their Incubation Program for Mobility Startups.

IIM Bangalore Partners With Maruti Suzuki For Sixth Startup Cohort

The cohort combines early-stage businesses working in the fields of manufacturing technology, electric vehicles, mobility, AI and circular economy innovation. Mentorship industry exposure and chances to work with Maruti Suzuki teams on real-world pilots will be given to chosen businesses in the MVP or prototype stage.

The program has involved around 140 ventures since its inception in 2020. Nineteen of them have been given compensated proof-of-concept opportunities by Maruti Suzuki. Together, alumni have generated over 2,600 employment and raised over ₹1,000 crore in outside capital.

The sixth cohort spans focus areas including vehicle technology, Industry 5.0, mobility infrastructure, green manufacturing, digital transformation and clean technology. Past participants include True Assist, Eshipz, Defect Scanner, Innovate Labs, Woloo and ValetEZ.

The collaboration provides founders with access to market knowledge, chances to test technology in practical environments and avenues to expand their solutions according to Anand Sri Ganesh the CEO of NSRCEL.
