Five students-Akshit Mittal, Viraj Modi, Jagrati Goyal from MBA-FABM, Devavrat Wagle from MBA-PGP and Harsh Modi from MBA-PGP-were given gold awards by the chief guest in recognition of their academic accomplishments. The convocation was held in the campus's Louis Kahn Plaza. Chandrika Tandon a member of IIMAs PGP Class of 1975 was the primary honoured guest.
Professor Bharat Bhasker the Director of IIMA gave a speech on the major institutional advancements and fresh projects that emerged over the previous year. He told the audience about the opening of the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of Artificial Intelligence at IIMA this week which will open doors to new opportunities in AI research and its practical applications as well as the two centers of excellence being established at the IIMA Dubai campus concentrating on case writing and startup incubation.
Professor Bharat Bhasker said to the graduating students to develop resilience as they get ready to enter a world that is dynamic, interconnected and changing quickly. According to him careers in a variety of industries frequently follow a non-linear course and are influenced by opportunities, decisions and occasionally unexpected interruptions.
All of the students in the PGP Class of 2026 have been placed across 26 cohorts by IIMAs final placement procedure. A wide range of recruiters from consulting, finance, technology and new industries participated in the process, demonstrating the industrys great faith in IIMA graduates.
The lateral placement procedure, which targeted applicants with previous work experience for mid- and senior-level posts was the first step in the placement cycle. It took place between 5 and 15 January 2026. The final placement procedure came next which was organised by IIMAs cluster-cohort method which organises companies according to industry profiles and gives students the freedom to submit "dream" applications even after receiving offers. This year more than 150 such applications were submitted highlighting the processs emphasis on students.
