IBSAT 2025 – Exam Date, Registration and Exam Pattern, Eligibility and Admission Process
The IBSAT is a proctored computer-based test administered online from home. The test is to evaluate the candidate's English, reasoning and analytical skills. It places a strong emphasis on reading comprehension, quantitative ability, verbal ability and the sufficiency and interpretation of data.
The test takes 2 hours (120 minutes) and consists of 140 questions of multiple choice type. The IBSAT does not have any negative marking, so the aspirants can try all questions without fear of losing marks for wrong answers.
Candidates must have earned a minimum of 50% in their graduation (any stream) in order to be eligible for the IBSAT. The medium of instruction at the graduate level will be English; otherwise, the candidates should submit a TOEFL/IELTS/NELT score.
Students are invited to a Group Discussion and Personal Interview following the IBSAT, which is determined by their exam scores. Students can also proceed with the selection process without first taking the IBSAT if they have valid GMAT, CAT, NMAT and XAT results.
It focuses mainly on the English language skills of the candidate, which separates it from other management entrance exams that focus on mathematics.
