The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) being a government institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India comes under the ambit of the Right to Information (RTI) Act of 2005. In keeping with its transparency and accountability, IIM Kozhikode regularly publishes information of importance under Section 4(1)(b) of the RTI Act on its website. 

IIMK's RTI information includes full details of academic courses, admission levels, intake of seats, rules of reservation, teaching qualifications, research output and examination performance. Besides this, procurement procedures, tenders and financial disclosure are opened to the public. The organisation regularly updates this information to ensure its relevancy and conformity with the statutory requirements.

Applicants and stakeholders make frequent use of RTI questions to find out about cutoffs for admissions, selection processes for different courses (especially PGP and Executive programs), waitlist activities, faculty recruitment processes, diversity of students and placement figures. IIM Kozhikode's Public Information Officer (PIO) processes RTI requests within the timeframe indicated and appeals can be made to the Appellate Authority following the RTI procedure.
