The IIM Kozhikode institute has 20 well-equipped dorms for accommodating approximately 1400 students. All of the facilities including the computer centre, students' canteen, and classrooms are within walking distance of the dormitory.  To meet students' computing demands, LAN and WiFi connections are available in every dorm room at IIM Kozhikode.  Students are given either a single or shared room at the hostel.

Three canteens cater to the eating requirements of the students along with a night canteen for students who prefer to stay at night. There are various eateries and shops on the campus for foodie getaways.

Hostel life is a vital part of the IIMK culture. Living together for two years forms a lifelong bond. Hostel bonding and other types of contact add to the already lively two years in IIMK.  Hostels are never sleepy whether it's late-night projects, assignments, exam time or parties.

IIM Kozhikode Classrooms

IIMKs are conceived with a view to offering a conducive environment for effective learning.  We at IIMK seriously employ the aids of technology-enhanced learning and consequently, all their classrooms are well-furnished with all the existing teaching aids that are needed to implement this. PC-equipped classrooms with multimedia projectors, motorised screens, OHPs, wireless presenters and other audiovisual aids make learning as energetic as possible.

Besides regular LAN connections all the classrooms are also Wi-Fi enabled. There is an additional high-tech facility that boasts state-of-the-art ISDN and IP-based videoconferencing features.

There are 2 well-furnished and fully equipped auditoriums with seating capacities of about 250 and 400.

Guest Care

Participants in management development programs can study and learn in a comfortable setting at the Management Development Centre. The accommodation is provided in 116 functional standard and premium air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms, cable TV connection, mini refrigerators and internet connectivity. In addition to the above facilities, there are separate 90-seat premium dining halls, reading areas, classrooms and auditoriums and Buzz rooms available to the attendees.

There are indoor and outdoor games recreation facilities. The participants also have access to the institute's library and computers. The institute now has air-conditioned guesthouses.  The rooms have an attached toilet, a television set with cable facility, a refrigerator, a coffee maker and an internet facility.

Recreation Facility

The institute takes care that appropriate recreation facilities are made available with the objective of all-round development of the students. Both indoor and outdoor sports facilities are available to students.  Indoor activities such as chess, carrom and table tennis are available in all of the hostels. Besides these, the institute also offers proper space for outdoor games like badminton, basketball, football and cricket. Well-maintained grounds ensure that students have sufficient space to play. IIMK students frequently compete in intercollegiate athletic events like the IIMK-IIMB Annual Sports Meet.

Eating points

IIMK students have access to unique mess facilities. In addition to the three normal meals, the mess provides students with tea and snacks. Additionally there is a restaurant on campus that accommodates the distinctive eating habits of the students.

Business Acumen

In 2010, IIM Kozhikode founded the Indian Commercial Museum, the nation's first of its kind to showcase India's great commercial heritage and pay tribute to its corporate icons. The museum is situated in Kozhikode, a city steeped in centuries-old trading history and covers 23,000 square feet. It has sections on prehistoric to contemporary business periods, major industries and groundbreaking contributions.

Phase I is worth ₹1.5 crore and has pavilions belonging to TATA, Godrej, Reliance, SBI, Infosys, FACT and others. Malabar Chamber of Commerce funded the Malabar Pavilion and a replica of the ancient Uru ship. The highlights include the RBI Galler, which was inaugurated by RBI Governor Dr D. Subbarao, and the future pavilions of ISRO, Bajaj and ICICI Bank.

The museum encourages businesses and collectors to donate artefacts relating to business for preservation and exhibition.

Computing Facilities

IIM Kozhikode offers state-of-the-art computing infrastructure to support academic, research and administrative needs. Library at IIM Kozhikode

IIM Kozhikode Library and Information Centre (LIC) is an up-to-date knowledge center that aids the institute's teaching, learning and research activities. The library contains an extensive collection of books, periodicals, e-resources, research databases, case materials and multimedia material on a range of management and allied subjects. The library offers online access to major databases including JSTOR, EBSCO, ProQuest and Emerald, through which users can access content at any time and from anywhere. The LIC, with its fully automated services, an online library catalogue, reading halls, discussion rooms and high-speed internet provide a great environment for scholarly research. Frequent resource refinements, complemented by expert librarian assistance ensure that the best and most current material is available for both students and teachers.

Rainwater Harvesting

IIM Kozhikode has built a sustainable rainwater harvesting system to provide drinking water for the campus.  Rainwater from rooftops and land on campus is harvested by gutters and stormwater drains and channelled into a recharging area where it is filtered naturally before it enters an open earthen pond in a low-lying field. The water stored is treated and piped into overhead tanks for utilisation. Besides the institute relies on a state-of-the-art sewage treatment plant to recycle wastewater for irrigation and implements eco-friendly soil erosion management practices. This holistic approach facilitates efficient water conservation and a green campus.
