Though one of the newer IIMs, IIM Udaipur – founded in 2011 – has managed to create excellent management programs and good enough infrastructure to support them. IIM Udaipur provides its management programs in various formats, including different kinds of executive programs, 2-year MBAs and one-year specialist MBAs like GSCM and DEM.  The institute will prove quite convenient for Indian students due to its top-notch campus infrastructure in Udaipur, Rajasthan, as well as reasonable residential and hostel arrangements. - The average and maximum compensation packages are on the rise due to the endorsed companies with top recruiters visiting the institute on regular occasions, as is evident from the steadily improving placement stats. The admission is standard by various exams like CAT, etc. and the selection criterion is clear: academic credentials, additional work experience, WAT/PI rounds, the profile of the candidate, and the CAT score served the purpose.

• At IIM Udaipur, the two-year MBA/PGP is the flagship program. The program focuses on the basics of management. The program is structured to include specialisations in finance, operations, strategy, marketing, etc. At the end of the first year, students would have to undergo an internship to ensure that the first-year students are exposed to real-work experience.

• The one-year programs, GSCM and DEM, are targeted at professionals looking to upskill in the newer, contemporary areas of supply chain and digital enterprise.

 IIM Udaipur offers Executive MBA (EMBA) / PGDBAWE – This program is tailored for professionals with significant work experience.

IIM Udaipur Eligibility & Application Process 

The two-year MBA/PGP program is designed with a focus on the basics of management. It is structured to include specialisations in finance, operations, strategy and marketing, among others. In the end of the first year, a mandatory internship is designed to expose the students of first year in a real job atmosphere.

For a one-year MBA (GSCM / DEM)- The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree plus minimum work experience (commonly ~3 years) and a valid test score (CAT/GMAT/GRE) or an institute test.

IIM Udaipur Admission criteria (2025-27)

 The IIM Udaipur Selection Criteria for the two-year MBA course are based on a candidate’s performance in the national-level entrance examination, i.e., CAT 2025. Candidates are shortlisted for the WAT and PI round on the basis of their CAT result. Shortlisting is done via metrics of CAT percentile, profile, and academic record. The final admission merit list is based on a composite score combining CAT, PI/WAT, and profile.

IIM Udaipur Placements Report

IIM Udaipur follows a placement process which consists of two main parts i.e. summer placements which occur after the first year of the course and final placements after the course ends. The institute has almost 100% placement for most of their programs. For the two-year MBA batch, the highest domestic package offered was INR 47.66 LPA and the average package was recorded at INR 18.77 LPA. For MBA-GSCM the average package was INR 22.37 LPA, and for the MBA-DEM, the average package was INR 21.67 LPA.

IIM Udaipur Scholarships

 IIM Udaipur provides scholarships or fee waivers to deserving students based on several factors, such as economically weaker sections, reserved categories or special merit. Few central government scholarships apply. Some central government scholarships (for SC/ST/OBC) also apply.

Note: There are also few scholarships offered by Government of India, such as the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC Students, the Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students and the Merit-cum-Means Based Scholarship Scheme.

The IIM Udaipur Campus is spread over around 300 acres of serene landscape and located in Balicha, Udaipur, Rajasthan. It caters only to the education and research facilities. It comes with state-of-the-art academic and residential infrastructure that includes air-conditioned classrooms, ICT-enabled learning spaces, a modern well-stocked library, Wi-Fi, research labs and recreational and sports facilities, including separate and secured residential facilities for men and women students.
