BBAU MBA Admission 2026 

Basaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) Lucknow also provides admission to its MBA program by accepting a valid CAT score. However, candidates are required to complete the BBAU counselling registration and attend the document verification session to get selected in the final merit list and secure admission.

BBAU MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification - Candidates have to complete their bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university.

• Minimum Marks - Candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and for the SC/ST/PwD category will be 45%.

• Entrance Exam - A valid CAT score is mandatory.

• Step 1 - CAT Examination
  All candidates need to clear CAT and have a valid score.

• Step 2 - University Registration
  After the declaration of CAT results candidates need to get themselves registered on the BBAU Samarth Portal at the time of counselling.

• Step 3 - Merit List and Counselling

Based on the candidates’ score in CAT and according to their preferences BBAU prepares a merit list. In some specialisations like rural management, strategic management etc the candidates are supposed to appear for a group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) round too.

• Step 4 - Document Verification and Fee Payment
  Candidates who will make it to the merit list will have to visit the BBAU campus for the verification of their documents and fee payment in order to secure admission.

BBAU MBA Admission Important Information 

• Tuition Fee Exemption - Blind students, SC, ST & PH candidates will be exempted from payment of tuition fees according to university rules.

• Registration Fee - Application fees for UR, OBC and EWS candidates are 1,000. For SC, ST and PH candidates it is 500.

• Foreign and NRI Seats - Foreign/NRI candidates will be allotted additional seats to the extent of 10% as per BBAU guidelines and in recommendation of the Foreign Student Advisor.

• Paid Seats - Paid seats are available in the MBA program. Admission into these MBA seats will be offered based on merit, candidate’s preference and university reservation policy.

• Defence Studies and Strategic Management - This program runs only for serving/retired personnel of the Armed Forces, Para-Military Force & Police Department.
