Candidates are given admission to the course based on the scores of Entrance Management tests like CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT or MAT conducted at the national level. However, they can also choose to appear for the Birla Global University Entrance Test (BET) to be eligible.
Candidates who do not have any scores from the above mentioned national entrance examinations can apply through the internal process provided by BGU. This process involves taking a Written Ability Test, followed by a Personal Interview. This system allows a broad range of background qualifications to be included within the entering class, giving further access to the outside applicant group.
A recognised undergraduate level qualification is mandatory, which requires a minimum of 50% average marks, while only 45% is mandatory, ensuring the candidate belongs to a reserved category.
The MBA in Communication Management course, developed with the emerging needs of the organisation in mind has the following areas in communication management covered in the curriculum: Brand Communication, Crisis Management Strategies, Digital Communication Methods, Corporate Communication Functions and Media Relations.
Shiv Shankar Das who is the Dean of the Birla School of Communication at Birla Global University, said the MBA in Communication Management program supports BGU’s vision. He explained that the course is designed to meet the growing need for strategic communication roles in leadership, governance and brand development. The program aims to develop professionals with strategic thinking capacity, ethical communication practices and confident leadership acumen in business scenarios.
