Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal spoke to the audience stating that Increased female engagement in corporate leadership, governance, education and grassroots entrepreneurship are the two pillars that are essential to realising the goal of Viksit Bharat. They stated that their staff and research scholars at IIM Sambalpur have been working on a study that examines women's involvement based on the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report for the past six months, in addition to celebrating International Women's Day today.
Harmeet Sehra asked In order to achieve empowerment women must have faith in their own abilities and encourage one another. Society must also focus on encouraging gender sensitivity in men in order to create a friendly and safe environment.
The panel discussion focused on the contributions that female leaders have made to community development, sustainability, corporate responsibility and governance.The panelists discussed their own experiences, challenges they encountered the value of gender diversity in society and methods for increasing the number of women in leadership positions.
