OpenAI Partners with IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Delhi and Others to Build AI-Ready Talent

A Program to Assist More Than One Lakh Students and Teachers

OpenAI will collaborate with organisations such as the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Pearl Academy, All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and Manipal Academy of Higher Education as part of this new project.

The company aims to support over one lakh students, faculty members and staff members with AI tools and training in these institutions. The aim is to incorporate AI into their daily academic and research activities.

According to Raghav Gupta the Head of Education at OpenAI India there is a definite mismatch between the capabilities of AI and the way they are being used. He further added that educational institutions can help bridge this gap. By incorporating the use of AI tools in training and research into their core systems, colleges and universities can help students acquire the skills required to thrive in an AI-enabled world.

Access to ChatGPT Edu and AI Training

OpenAI will provide enterprise level access to ChatGPT Edu for students and faculty members. The program will also include subject-related guidance and responsible use frameworks to ensure that the AI tools are used properly and in an ethical manner. AI skills will be incorporated into the core academic processes so that students can use them on a regular basis in their academic work.

Advanced prompting, data analytics, coding, case analysis, simulations and AI-assisted research will all be covered in the training. The faculty members will also have opportunities to enhance their skills and learn how to leverage AI in teaching and research.

OpenAI will also assist in campus hackathons, research to deployment projects and connecting institutions with startups and enterprise networks.

In addition IIM Ahmedabad and MAHE will offer OpenAI certifications to students and faculty members who undergo training in OpenAI.

OpenAI is not only partnering with institutions but also with online education platforms such as PhysicsWallah, upGrad, and HCL GUVI to offer more opportunities for learning AI in India.
