NMIMS MBA 2026 Selection Criteria Changed, CAPI Updates

The NMIMS Competency Assessment and Personal Interview CAPI will be conducted offline at the NMIMS Mumbai campus. For candidates interested in taking part in the process of NMIMS CAPI, they would have to pay ₹1200 (later raised from ₹ 1000 in the previous admission process of this year). They have to provide an SOP of 300 words. The deadline for the above process is January 25.

Interview slots for NMIMS MBA admissions are available from January 31 to February 26 and can be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. However, several candidates reported that they are not able to book slots for a date after February 10. Based on trends from the previous admission cycle, NMIMS is likely to release additional interview slots after all slots available until February 10 are filled. However, the last date to book NMIMS CAPI slots is expected to remain unchanged. Over 13000 MBA applicants are anticipated to appear at the NMIMS Mumbai campus for the CAPI process.

Changes in NMIMS Competency Test Pattern and Structure

NMIMS will conduct the competency test in 45 minutes in computer-based test mode. Compared to the previous admission cycle, the NMIMS competency test now includes 30 questions instead of 20. Each correct answer carries 3 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect response. Unlike last year’s three-section format, the NMIMS competency test will now consist of four sections.
