NICMAR University, Pune has launched two postgraduate diplomas in infrastructure management; apply before December 31

The eligible individuals can apply for a one-year diploma program through the official website  till December 31, 2025.

The university will accept the candidate after a personal interview. The institutional statement was clear that in order to get the candidate's chosen specialisation, a candidate must apply early.

Tapash Kumar Ganguli, Director-General (Interim), NICMAR speaking about the curriculum of the two new courses, said that the curriculum focuses heavily on applied learning, case studies and experience with real-life project settings, owing to the ever-increasing requirement for technically competent managers rather than academically qualified ones.

PGD RMCM, AFM Courses Curriculum

Through industry interface and interaction with the industry and the professionals, two new programs in NICMAR University, namely Pune Campus Asset and Facilities Management and Ready Mix Concrete Management have been developed to match the industry need, says he.

The two new specialised PG programs would fill the talent gap in the infrastructure industry in India, according to the university. With India continuing to invest in infrastructure, there is an increasing need to have specialised talent to support the execution, quality and efficiency associated with the CRIP industry.

As per some projections the demand for asset and facility management is expected to grow by 15-20% in 2030. Likewise, Indian RMC is also expected to grow at 8% CAGR in 2023-2027. These are being made possible by increased government focus on smart cities, national highways and affordable housing schemes, among others, as stated in an official statement by the institution. The course will equip students with the capability to be responsible for the after-construction phase of constructed assets in relation to operational plans, maintenance regimes, compliance, energy efficiency and user-focused performance of facilities. A PGD in Ready Mix Concrete Management is offered with the focus of building skills in concrete technology, plant management, quality control management and logistics management with the ultimate aim of ensuring consistency in the performance of all construction activities.
